Hey Guys..
My New Diag Equipment Arrived this morning
Now the MKIV Clusters have alot of Hidden Settings that Can be Switched on and Off via the EEP Rom
some of these things include Features such as
1. Milage till Empty as a display on the MFA (many mkIVs dont have this enabled)
2. Cluster Lighting Options Such as having the Cluster Illuminated from the Point the Key is Turned (like Audi S3 S4 etc)
3. Addition of other Features such as welcome messages.. disabling of other messages.. and if you are proficient enough with hex editing probably altering what those messages can read

I enabled the Distance to Empty feature today and the Option of Having the Gauges and Needles Lit up upon Key Turn
What i did leave unilluminated was the Clock and the Odometer LCD screens below each Gauge.. these two only light up upon turning on of the lights..
You can do al sorts of combinations of this (this only applies to when headlights are off) such as Needles only, Gauges Only, Needles and Gauges, Lower Displays only, etc etc etc any combination you like really .. including having the cluster fully lit all the time..
Check out a quick photo of my cluster i took earlier.
jokes here she is notice that the MFA is displaying KM's till empty and the clocks and odo lower LCD displays arent illuminated .. my key was in the ignition and turned to the "ACC" position..
you can also enable and disable various other lamps etc... just for fun.... if thats what you consider...fun.....? lol
Its all very easy and only took around 20 minutes to complete..
