Changed out front and rear suspension. Went for Eibach pro springs and Koni yellows.
Job went ok, although should have bought good quality spring compressors which have nuts both ends
Old springs were quite shagged. Drop after install was between 5 and 20mm. Wasn't looking for low, but better handling and turn in with firmer ride. Looks like we have achieved that, will need to bed in a bit and then see.

Picked up some goodies from the wreckers today, including a new glovebox, centre console and armrest delete. Will be a bit of a step up from my non functional glovebox and cracked centre console..
In other news, fitted my spacers. Wish I went with 25mm, but the 17.5mm still gives it a little more aggressive stance at the rear.

So after alot of sanding im down to 600 grit wet and dry and tried the autosol to see how it came out. Pretty good shine but going to do a 1200 grit to get the finer scratches out then use a buffer with the autosol!
Also dropped of my spare clutch fork to Eleven Ten engineering and he welded it up for me. This will never bend!

finally done some damage to my oil pan, got a slow leak above the sump plug some where.

I'm about to buy my third sump and I'm 80mm off the ground. And my car didn't come with the original factory sump either.
Damn you volkswagen with your low riding sump!
Put a bit of sealant on the leak and it'll hold for a while. So far, so good with me.Originally posted by MightyCarModsI'd rather lose by a mile because I built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me. Your car is your story, so don't let someone else write the book.

my sump didnt have a mark on it until last oil change.
engine mounts have worn and dogbone looks twisted, so engine is hanging much lower.
just ordered this
not sure if it will sit any higher, but atleast it will stop the leak and any futura damage to the lower section can be repaired easier
