    Looks sweet!

Was getting the A,B and C pillars off a bit of a task? I'm looking at redoing my headliner but with the car being a 3door, I'm not sure how different/what to expect when taking off the pillars

      Thanks man!

Not sure about the 3 door too be honest! but if its anything like the 5 door, taking them off wasn't much of a task, i would say putting them back on while trying to keep the headliner in place is the hardest thing, especially when you have to do it yourself! There should only be a few screws and a couple of pop/snap clips thingos...

If its the ambition of your car, sell up, take the aftermarket parts off and buy a vr6!!

Great to see someone getting their hands dirty and giving it a go themselves That headliner fix is dead simple and makes a hell of a difference. Yours looks awesome.

Looking forward to seeing it on those coils.

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

So wednesday started off pretty bad, went downstairs into my garage to find the commie parked in there, and mum had the keys with her at work. Had to go pick the keys up from her and move it out, that took in all about an hour, but then my mate marco and I got stuck in.

Front steering arm bolts (i think?) were the biggest pain. Got the top bolts off on both sides but the bottom ones just would not budge at all.

Sooo we decided to just to the rear first, simple as, literally 2-3 bolts to undo and the old ones are off, new ones are in. Got the coils on in a matter of 20 minutes. We then went back to the fronts, which ended up taking both of us about 5 hours of throwing things and making loud noises to get ONE of the sides off. We gave up and went got thai takeaway ahha

That brings us to this morning. So im about 2 weeks from the HSC and i didn't really want to waste another day on this but i couldn't leave it with one last corner to do. So i woke up early, about 830 and got into cutting off this bitch of a bolt. Pretty much tried every power tool, drill, multi tool, dremel. None really did much, so i whacked out the hack saw. Cut the old bolt off after about an hour or two.

After installing and making sure both sides were equal, i lowered it off the jack stands and she was standing by herself, i was so relieved! Untilllll... i found that the upper strut tops were popped out and up from the strut towers? I do not know what i have done wrong here, but can someone help me? I believe i installed everything the right way, but obviously not...

Anyway heres how she sits now... going to raise the front and lower the back, just so theres not rake. AND I NEED WHEELS ASAP

Did you replace the Strut top mounts as well or are they the originals? If they're the originals chances are they're worn out and that looks normal for a worn out rubber mount. Invest $50 in some HD mounts from euro revolution.

Looks better with a touch of rake then being level.

And thats normal with the top of the struts.

Only thing that got me concerned was it took you 2hrs to hacksaw a bolt...

Just don't forget to get a wheel alignment now. From the pictures it looks like your running way too much negative camber in the front!

                            Other than that looks fresh

Yeah no, they are the originals because im cheap and lazy... I just thought because my car hadn't done alot of kms they would be fine? maybe not. They also make a weird knocking noise when i go over slight bumps

Hahahha, wasn't thinking that far... but just so it was a bit more level.

Yeah, looking into it, i definitely want a bit of rake, but the front is just a bit too low for my area... speedhumps on every back road Are you sure thats normal? i've been looking around and others don't pop out, they also make a knocking noise, which i cannot deal with at all

Yeah well its a tight space and i took plenty of breaks to punch things...
