Keen to see how it goes Speed. I got the big list of things to do on my car this weekend but she should be cleaning up nicely with new panels and hopefully some new seats
Good stuff! I will post up some pics of the stuff when I bring it home Sunday on the trailer
Car is finally shaping up to what I wanted when I first bought it, Fixed the bonnet and bonnet latch so no longer hangs out the front.
I'll grab a proper photo tomorrow.
Almost went on a late night mountain run with a couple friends but deemed it unwise whilst still on the 5" wide stockies, this means I should probably hurry up my search for a set of 4x100s. Might end up just buying a set of d hole 15x8's steelies for now.
That is why I am running a TDI, I do not worry about petrol prices at all nowadays
I would love to have a VR6 but the running costs (ie the fuel economy plus premium unleaded) would mean it would have to be a weekend car for fun drives only.
Yep! i love my diesel!
The only way to offset the thirst of a VR6 if you really need to do kms
Going to ghetto paint the buggered wheels on the VR6 this weekend if the weather holds up too
side note: LOVEEEE rotaries, the way they rev is just soo addictive~
Renovating and have no power in the garage. Purchased with the intention to swap the running gear into the wife's cabby.
Now have heaps of spares, including a rebuilt auto box for the mother in laws vr6.
Don't worry but the cabby will run a manual box. Just need flywheel and clutch.

@Speed..
Hey speed i have a curious question to ask about your wife's cabby!
Have you had a chance to pull apart the electricals to the car such as tail lights, cluster .etc. and if so, how many plugs does each component of the wiring harness have?

Just asking out of curiosity haha!

I've pulled apart both of those. I was the guy advising how to remove your cluster
Thanks feenix. Maybe not so soon though! Has put my hoist purchase back a couple of months.
Planning for October 2017.
In the meantime I will rebuild my mx5. Should run 12s. Intend to track it with the mx5 club.
Then repaint my S3 Rx7 and put in on club plates. Would easily do 12s.
Will also continue renovating my house.
Massive project that will take maybe 2 to 5 years, depending how much I distract myself with cars.
I could easily fall in love with the 2 door but time is precious, so may be sold as a shell.
If anyone is looking for parts in NSW (manly area) for a burgundy 4 door cl/gl (not 100% sure) I know a guy who is trying to wreck his car. Interior is absolutely mint, most body panels look fairly decent and I've been told it is mechanically tip top. Son just changed to a mk4 and so decided to forego rego on the mk3.
If you want his number, pm me, he's a pretty nice guy if you wanna give him a buzz.
