If you want his number, pm me, he's a pretty nice guy if you wanna give him a buzz.
I'm keen on some burgundy panels. Just updated my tapatalk and am unable to send you a pm. Can you please send me one with his contact info?

    Thank you!

    • Keep that Mk3 2door shell clean, I'm sure someone will find a good use for it!

Will see. Has rust under passenger side quarter window. Could easily fix it by welding in a section and will do if I had the space to keep it.

Think it would make a great turbo petrol or diesel. With the mother in laws car lingering... 3 VW Golf sixes is enough for now.

            • Mate, I think that you and I have a similar addiction.

Only the facts that we live in a townhouse complex (I currently occupy two visitor parking spots already plus have the Vento parked at my in-laws) is stopping me buying the VR6 from my brother-in-law in Adelaide (because Son No. 2 needs a car ) and another Golf Mk3 GL auto for the in-laws now that they are finding driving a manual a bit hard on their knees

              • Anyone know why I would have an issue with my oil pressure switch again after just 8 months? I'm probably just going to replace it myself this time since it's not done up super tight and I have a spare new sensor. I just have a feeling that there's something in there that could be causing the pressure to build too high and causing my switch to fail and leak.
Car runs fine by the way so not sure why this happens, it's just annoying that it's happened twice.
Edit; Getting it sorted tomorrow, mechanic is going to do it for me under a kind of warranty.

Are you saying that my new 2 door used to belong to you?

                      Yes at one stage.

I bought it off another forum member after it ran out of rego. Pulled the 1.8 out and was going to vr6 swap it but then had to get rid of it so sold it to another guy on here who I'm guessing you've picked it up off.

                      • Swapped the fuel pump in my Mk3 today and went brrroommmm.

Also picked up a front bumper. Probably the most work for another 3 years!

That's awesome. That means it's been owned by at least 4 forum members including myself. She really does deserve to be rebuilt. Currently has 5 studs and vr6 brakes, no interior but filled with lots of parts.

Oil is alright, crank vent, where is it? Going to install new intake boot and PCV eventually.
Will see what they say today.

                              • want to get a set of smoked front indicator and reflectors, any recommendations on which to get?

Have my eye on a set of these but they are from Latvia and seller says that they will require modification for US models.
                                Any idea about australian ones?
