back windows are common as for the wiring splitting which can upset the front windows
Have read it helped, my cars running really rough atm too. Like a misfire and shuddering whilst driving so Ill replace the ignition switch sooner rather tham later. Any sensors on the 2.0 that can cause such a change to my car?

        • @dubster99, my VR used to run rough sometimes and shudder to the point I would stop and restart it for fear of something bad happening. Usually if revved too high. New ignition leads fixed the issue completely. Not sure if you would have the same issue in a 2.0 but leads are leads. How old are your leads? If fairly new at least you can eliminate that.

No problems, my pleasure. My 97 CL is doing the dance of death as well, hence why I had the info handy. As an interim work around, I have my old TomTom GPS unit to give me speed readings.

            • Have no idea how old they would be they came with the car, drove back from work lastnight and it started and ran fine about 40 mins into the drive home it started to stutter when I put my foot down for a few seconds then when the revs were up over 2k it stopped which is weird. Ill try new leads and plugs first to eliminate them, also just going to clean the MAF and TB too.

              • Anyone ever installed mk4 leather seats into a mk3? I was thinking about it after seeing your ad MilkIsYum. Seen tutorials for the front seats but not the back.
Let me know if anyone has any up my way, I would buy MilkIsYums but don't want to pay more in postage then for the seats.
This definitely seems like something I need to do.

VR28LT's old mk3 had mk4 seats in it, two options with the fronts.
weld in mk4 rails, or swap/cut up base of seats and fit mk3 parts.
rears need the clamping point at the top changed.
cant recall what happens down the bottom, think they need to be swapped to mk4 ones too

                  • Doesn't seem too bad, should be fun if I can find a good set of leather seats.
And just my luck, went out tonight and came home missing the parts car key which was the only one with no spare. ****
where do I go from here, bother to ring a auto locksmith? Only one 1 on the cheap because the car is being either sold for cheap or scrapped after I'm done with it

                    • Picked up a PCV boot including valve in pretty good nick for $25. Finally I can properly fix my day one problem and not make it look like a hack job.

Also, had a laugh reading my old RWC the other day, it stated my front rotors were undersized...

                      • Nice. Must be the last one on earth that hasn't disintegrated.

My ebay coolant hose kit came with a hose that deletes the PCV

                          • Are there alternatives to part 021907601A? or is ECS my only option? Going to get a quote from the dealer since postage is nearly as much as the part itself.

                            • Some questions for my new RS's.

                              1. What tool do you use to undo the bolts to take them apart?

                              2. Do I need to take the tyres off before I do this?

                              3. They are 16x8, Will 195/45/16 or 195/50/16 tyres will give me a bit of stretch right? But which will be closest to VR6 total wheel diameter?

                              Cheers
