Oddly, it performed well for a small incline today from a stop position, no slipping.
    Maybe it just needs time.
Edit; vagcom is not throwing any error codes at all for trans.
New fluid SHOULD be better but like you said, maybe you need to give it more time.
I'd resist any hard launches until your sure it's sweet.

    • I'm going to do another fluid level check, last time I did the check it needed more fluid and it helped. Maybe it's still not enough.
Being careful though. vagcom seems to sometimes change +/- 4°C when reading so it's a little tricky.

      • Did another fluid check, correct temps, engining running. Went well. Going to test drive later tonight and see how it goes. Seemed that it took on more fluid. Last time more fluid was added in the end the car slipped a lot less. Here's hoping this was all it needed.

I would suggest that if you have the spare money to get it done professionally.
I was actually thinking about going the black textured trims to match some flares I bought as well as the guard, bonnet and roof need to be done. Almost snagged a 98 golf in the same green with no panel or paint damage but the guy wouldn't reply after one text, such a miss Must of sent it off to the wreckers

            • Trans was still slipping, albeit like it used to before the whole job. Decided to add more fluid by eye without unplugging the drain plug.
Now the car doesn't slip at all! Perfectly grabs the gears where it used to slip.

Tell me how you go with yours Speed when you get around to it. Since you have a dipstick (096 has it yes?) it should be easier to judge levels and maybe see if adding more helps.

              • Great news, awesome result. I will remember that for if the Vento's auto transmission starts to slip (ie top it up with ATF).

Both front corners and the rear bumper of my CL have similar damage from parking my car at work (the public carpark was also used by patrons of the local community club).
