Of course! Just not many pics of the exterior so I forgot it was a 3 door.

      • Swiss cheesed the airbox, the intake noise when your heavy on the throttle or at about 2.6 to 4k rpm is amazing even in the 2.slow, would recommend if you can get a spare airbox for cheap, I'll send you one if I find another one cheap milan. Dad just got a 18mm spade bit and drilled about 20 holes in the front and driver side of the airbox and the thing works a dream.
Went to paint a spare badge I had black but ended up liking the primer colour better.

        • Why a 2nd hand?

Don't swiss cheese. Just chop out 90% of the bottom section

            • For good noise you want to cut out something like this. I can't find a pic of mine but here is a rough idea

                Thanks for the pics,

I understand why some would want to cut out the bottom of the filter for that extra sound but the top?!

What's the point in having a filter at all if you are just going to make holes after it.

Would also allow warmer engine bay air into the intake. Seems stupid IMO.

                    Haha, all good!

I totally get that but wanted to spell it out for the more impressionable youth on this forum.

What do people do for cold air feeds?

Space appears quite tight and the diameter of that rubber hose thing seems restrictive.

                    Thanks in advance

Thanks for the offer mate. I am still kicking myself for not taking one of the perfect golf I found at the wreckers yesterday. Its alright though since I'll go sometime this week to the wreckers again to find one. Its really nice to see other people's builds and to draw inspiration from them. Its something that the VW scene has which the Holden scene doesn't.

                      • You actually remove the vector tube and cut off the inner part as well so your finish product should look like this, I just swiss cheesed it instead to stop leaves getting up in the actual filter

I went to super cheap today to get a new air filter and they wanted 65$?! get fkd haha

                            • If anyone wants a brand new RYCO filter I have one. I was sent two because the delivery guy put the package inside the electricity meter box instead of the letterbox the first time and only found it weeks later.
I have a K&N Apollo setup that feeds air close to where the stock fed it from.
By the way, there's another baffle that is right over the stock intake tube in the fender, not sure if this really matters if you go the cheesebox way.
