      • The clear tails look amazing. I'll remember the coloured bulbs though. Needs a clean before going in. The wheels are looking good.

        • Tackled my non-working rear window today. The cable tie method failed the first time, went all the way up to the top and broke the tie at the top. So, used one cable tie to create an extra "bead" on the end that slides freely. And another one that keeps the clamp from swinging off the wire.
          Success!
Now I don't have to awkwardly tell someone every time they want to open the window that it's bolted shut, haha.

              • Car Tint
I was looking on the weekend too and a friend who did extensive research on other car forums recommended this place.

I shot them an email on Sunday and yet to hear back. In no rush though.

                update:
A car of that age is one I wouldn't do because it's impossible to get a great job out if it purely due to dirt/dust exposure over so many years.
                so no go.

                  • So what I thought was just condensation from my AC was actually a small coolant leak...decided to inspect further when my light started flashing.
Engine temps are still what they usually are.

I'm almost 100% certain my water pump is leaking so I'd be looking to replace that.
My issue is the same as the one that was posted here; GolfGTIforum.co.uk - An independent forum for Volkswagen Golf GTI enthusiasts.

As a temporary measure I've been topping up using demineralised water.

Anyway, how much would I be looking at the get the water pump replaced?

                    • Maybe $4-500? It's easy to do just takes a little messing around.

I think water pumps are around $200

                      • Thanks Hayden,
I was expecting a figure around there.
Hopefully no more issues after this.
