When you convert to 5 stud promise me you'll fit the disks on the right way and not right disk on the left wheel. Currently you've got the brake dust being forced into the center of the hub instead of being pushed out.Originally posted by KI11Z View Post

Loving the work you've done so far.

um, no, the veins call for the slots to run that way..... depends on the internal design of the rotor, the slot direction is irrelevant....Originally posted by sports racer View PostWhen you convert to 5 stud promise me you'll fit the disks on the right way and not right disk on the left wheel. You sure about that?

Rotor should be sucking the air from the center of the hub outwards by creating -ve pressure at the outer edge so the internal vanes should be in the same direction as the slots. Slot direction should be doing the same to the brake dust and, more importantly, increasing brake response under heavy braking by moving air out and away from the brake/rotor surface area, not building up pressure at the inner edge of the brake pad and therefore forcing the pad away from the disk.

Have a look at some pictures of racing cars. Every single one has slots opposite to what you have.Last edited by sports racer; 22-02-2014, 02:20 PM.1978 MK1 2.0 16v http://www.vwwatercooled.com.au/foru...-46488-70.html

 That's OK, you don't drive a MK2 so I have to make allowances to make you feel better. 1978 MK1 2.0 16v http://www.vwwatercooled.com.au/foru...-46488-70.html 1978 MK1 2.0 16v http://www.vwwatercooled.com.au/foru...-46488-70.html
