Imagine how good it would be today if you kept it ...........
Converted to a wagon? Now that would be cool.

Reading through his posts it looks like the Jetta was cut up and scrapped. Bugger.1978 MK1 2.0 16v http://www.vwwatercooled.com.au/foru...-46488-70.html

ok, life got real hectic, as it does I guess but we're back online! i'll try stick around for longer than a week this time round, haha
a few things have progressed with this, the engine is in and was all wired up but I wasn't happy with the chosen routing of the wires for the tuck so i've snipped them again; increasing the likely-hood of a ****up, haha, but lets stay positive.
new roof installed, messed that a lil and if I can't get around it then i'll have to buy another, haha. ****ty workshop manual instuctions. stupid thing is that I second thought it but then convinced myself that the manual would be right.... anyway, **** happens when diy-ing so i'll brush it off my shoulder and move on!
bit the bullet and removed the aircon; just need to remove the dash now and pull out the aircon unit.
um, finally VHT's wrinkle black paint has been approved for import and is now being stocked again in the shops, so i've been getting my paint on! going for a black and polished look with a splash of gold theme.
pulled apart the alternator to recon it and paint it but all the components were in great condition so no need for new parts; looks better than new now though; just waiting on the new pulley and plastic backing cover to arrive but here it is for the moment....
Just going through the bay at the moment, polishing bolts, tucking wires, deleting things and shaving things, hammer time ya'll!
no other pics as yet since i've only just started to get gain momentum with this again. Trying to have it done by the end of the month, lmao, pray for me.... the go fast goodies will go on once I decide which way to go with management.....Last edited by KI11Z; 13-07-2014, 01:02 AM.
