You don't own a MK2 do you otherwise you wouldn't ask that question.

    • Attempted to fit a cheap "new" front lip I bought off Ebay.
Fitment was so poor (short in some areas, longer in others, tabs that didn't align) that I'm going to touch up and re-fit the OEM one with some black paint.
      Lesson learned :/

I do remember ripping out the crappy broken alarm system but my wiring loom was never that bad.

        • My MK2 has heaps of wires that don't go anywhere, aren't connected or have been bypassed (I hope). One day I'll do a cleanup, it won't be 15kg worth but there should be a fair bit that should be ripped out.

Half your luck! Mine had been butchered.
Just picked up a fuse box and a slew of plugs from a mk3 yesterday. So that's today job.

                      • If we wore it to the battery it can work that way, but the switches are illuminated from it so no cigar.

                          • Hey Leigh.

I did it all except the wiring. Bro was in town so I made him do it b/c I suck at it.

I imagine the power for the windows should be straight to the fuse panel? We ran out of time so he put it with the cigarette lighter. The wires on that are thinner so on the up cycle it's kinda slow, haha

Yeh cigarette lighter is way less amps than windows , I'm sure I have the right harness somewhere and it includes a relay to take the power . If I come across it il put it aside I case u need it
