    Go to South Africa,America,Canada,Mexico,or China.

Mistly Jettas though...even BRAND NEW ones in China, where it is STILL the best selling car...
Or Europe...Pretty much anywhere else in the world other than Australia. There were 6.3 million sold after all.

It's good there isn't too many in Aus... Might be selfish of me, but I'm shure most MK2 owners enjoy driving a car that isn't seen everywhere every day like a falcon, commodore, or a bloody supra or silvia for that matter.

Yeah, there's a few around, there's actually one in my area!
So far the only MK2 Golf I've seen is Washy's (the day I bought mine), go figure.

I've only seen 1 Jetta on the road, a ratty blue one parked outside my local Blockbuster, the owners didn't seem to really know what they had (if that makes sense). Not seen any MK1 Jettas. Not sure what you mean by south african MK3's, don't you mean Vento's? Seen plenty of them, including a rather nice Ventlo for sale in the classifieds.

Besides Ventos,I have seen a few South African built MK3 Jettas all over Melbourne.

Obviously coming in containers with South African immigrants.

This has now stopped because of import duties, but also see many ex SA BMWs,and Toyotas, mainly Corolla sedans.

                A few MK 1 Citigolfs,Golf 2s,and older Honda Ballades/Civic sedans.

Ok, why did I spend 6 months in China and not Japan? If I go nuts studying I'm going to get a teaching gig there and hoard some VW parts. Awesome find dood! Hope Japan is treating you well, certainly sounds like it.

                              Wow!!!

I felt bad after seeing your photos coz my officemate visited his parents there in Japan. Its all goof though especially he want there to visit his parents after the Tsunami. Hope everything is ok there... Would love to have some of those parts especially I am only 3 hours away from Japan. Keep the pics coming
