Aside from you dudes on here rocking the generosity like nothing else... I've just had a massive weekend filled with the cars I really love to work with, Skylines - at the Skyline Nationals in Shepparton VIC.
120+ at the show and shine, some great historic race cars - Peter Jackson DR30, Netcomm DR30, Gibson MotorSport Nissan Bluebird & Exa, John Player Special BMW and a Gemini from the same period. Followed by a Track day at Winton and dinner & preso the night after... anyway, probably boring to you lot...

I took the golf for a shakedown after spending the day getting the injector pump done and the ball joints and bushes in that Peter Jones donated.
There is a write up on the diesel pump!
I did over 1300ks without a hitch, aside from the noise... I had a roof basket on, that was off and ditched at my dads work within the first 150ks from the intense harmonic resonance that was happening in the whole car...
Then another problem, it didn't want any diesel, the gauge didn't move, well much anyway... the K's just kept ticking by, Stopped in Gundagai for my mate to top up his ute towing his Skyline and taped up the front 1/4 windows to stop some more noise, at least I could hear some of the radio... I still had 7/8ths of a tank...
Ended up getting from Orange to Shepparton on 3/4 of a tank, 650ks, by this stage I was afraid that the gauge must be wrong, but I fueled up the next morning and put in 28L - 4.3L/100 Same figures as originally quoted in the book.
Run home was fine, only misshap was avoiding a roo carcass I hit something hard, it's head which some birds had scattered across the road, I think the left hand suspension is really rooted now, I stopped a few times to check a vibration, the tyres and wheel nuts, but nothing seemed wrong. Time for a newer setup and then some mods to lift.
Bonus for the weekend, I scored about $40 in change donations at the show and shine, and picked up about $410 in donations towards Cancer Council from some friends etc. Our total is now over $1000!
