It took me all weekend. I still have the driver side out, like you my drivers side needs a lot of the tlc. I've got a temporary seat in the car at the moment whilst I patch up the foam. You can buy replacement foam parts (found a company in UK) but it's another expense, cheaper to buy the foam yourself and fill it / mould it to suit.

As for the fitting, well the first trick is to get the old covers off, that's surprisingly harder than you would think. Then to put the new covers on took me about two days but be careful I ripped one and therefore had to patch it up (I was so mad&#128534 I also replaced all the steel rods and use cable ties instead of the stables to fix them back into place. I still need to do the door cards though!

Really pleased with the result but definitely worried about keeping the white clean... Maybe that wasn't the best call?..but I wanted it to be bright

Picked her up earlier this week after getting the windows tinted and finally got the rag and polish out... looking good!

Minor updates on my cabbie, After ongoing ignition issues and frustrating poor running I spent the weekend replacing the coil and distributor.

Afterwards it was still running a lean and spluttering a bit so I took it into get it check out and have the fuel air mixture checked. Apparently it was way out ... Probably just as well I got that looked at. Anyway purring nicely now. Hopefully I'll get some carefree motoring for a while now after a couple of bad months!

Hey buddy was checking out your thread nice work! New paint job looks hot... Very jealous!

I definatately noticed a difference but it wasn't huge. The past few months haven't been good to my poor girl... non stop issues with no money for parts! Anyway hopefully Getting on top of them now. I'm keen to get it on the dyno at the next meet and find out what HP she got, I'll let you know.

I hear you about he money and parts issue, Good to see you stuck at it tho and got her back running nice "fingers crossed".

The paint looks good in pics but up close its not! Im happy with the colour and cant really complain as it was cheap but it needs alot of touch up and a rub down cut and polish! (should have saved up and got it done properly) or grown a money tree 'if you know where i can get one?".

But yeah let us know next time you get to a meet how many pony's she got!

Yep, you got to stick with it. I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way but there comes a stage where you so invested with time and effort that you can't let it go. And it's all worth it when she's running well!

She's looking good. Shame we need to buy parts from overseas but if we're going to get over charged then you've gotta look after your own wallet.
Did you get the brakes fixed? Old man and I spent some time checking and adjusting brakes and bleeding them and they brakes were nice and strong and a few laps around he block and the peddle got spongy and we found the hard brake line had a pin hole in it and was leaking all over the drivers floor under the rubber insulation and carpets.

Yeah got them sorted ages ago. Really annoying, to start the master cylinder died when i was bleeding the system. Then It was a warped / bent rotor thr was rubbing on the caliper it was new but must have got damaged in transport. Then as soon as i got that sorted the starter motor died so she sat unused in the car park for a couple of months....

I would like to upgrade the front calipers as well now! But coil overs first... When I manage to save some money... Slowly slowly

What happened with your leaky hard line, that must have been a pain?
