Hahaha yeah im used to that Think i might keep it that way.

Anyway its no major update but just something in the looks department. Got some red paint from super cheap and some prime, sanded the crome strips on my grill, prime then painted red, just like the GTI grill. I also had some black tint spray, which went on the headlights. The goal was to get an all black grill/headlights with a red stripe surrounding it.

        How it was

How it is. I had a few more pics but had difficulty uploading them ?

The red stripe is somewhat covered by the orange paint, however it looks the bomb in person.
Also today cleaned my spark plugs and the car ran a tiny bit better. The plugs were covered in black, meaning the cars running to rich..

Thanks dom, oh and nope i have a falcon xf carb.

Found out its not the carb thats causing all the problems, its just my timing and tuning. However will still buy a 32/36 from a gemini/cortina/ escort or something silimar.

I've sold the two front coilovers to my friend for his VR6. Fit in perfectly. However i still have the rear two, which didnt fit on his car. So what im going to do is, put them on mine, however remove the lower/thinner spring and set the perch nuts higher, there for making the car drop to normal mk1 height, but still be adjustable suspension. I know its dumb, but ohh well im cool hehehhe

                • I like how on MK1's, the outter trim on the grill is actually REMOVABLE.
Make's any colour change's/resprays much easier.

                  Rant done.

                    • Im only after fronts dude. Im just going to make-do with the rears that i have, take the little damping spring out and it should fit to size, and be able to drop as low as i want, and as high as i want. Im jsut scared of it bouncing around -.-

So if you're willing to sell only fronts? My budget is pretty tight as i've lost money on the coils.. so pm me something.

                        • Yeah its actually happened twice now, and happened to me previosly with VDUBMONKEYZ which i thought were reliable.

Anyway my car wont start or run at all now. Im in big trouble as it was my daily..
The car cranks and cranks and tries to start but just doesnt. If it does happen to start its very hard to keep the idle up and it feels like the car is running on 3 cylinders or something. When i put my foot down it strugles to rev at all, and theres a fair bit of smoke.

Over fueling is an issue, timing is completely out too. Im running out of options. Could the coil be a problem, perhaps not enough spark?

                          • What has changed since last time it worked? If you're running standard ignition it could be the condenser off the side of the dizzy.

                            • Before the car died on me, the idiot i was i spent my money on other things, and now i actually need money to get it running agian (i presume i need money to fix solutions?)

Anyway I happen to find someone who sells carbon fibre vinyl, for a pretty good price. So i thought id set out and buy some. I dont want to give too much away, but all ill say is carbon fibre and bonnet. Hmmm its not what you think.

Also, i got sick of my exhaust, and wanted something that sounds nice and has a nice look to it.
Soooooooooooooooooooooo i bought a cannon. Now i can see half the VW community going *Ohh god this twat is gonna rice his car *
However, this is a WAY smaller exhaust as compared to the sh*tty rice ones. And its actually a branded one which isnt half bad, Magnaflow. It has a small outlet unlike others, and my plan is to cut the outlet, and make a long tail pipe from it. Should come out pretty neat. Have faith people

I havnt managed to start the car yet. No spark at all from the plugs. So im left to beleive its the coil or dizzy. Coils rarely die so i think its the dizzy. I swapped the point ignition thingo over, and still nothing. So my teachers gonna have a look at my dizzy tmoro. Hopefully the bugger starts, im so upset !!

The bonnet should be done over the weekend .. so hold out till then hehe

                              • i like the muffler,

As for coil, they do die, and from my experience, suddenly!!

                                Keep at it Bro
