        • Ok so i was orinally saving the RS240's for the white golf with airbags, but i thought its still a long way off before its done. Ive wanted to get another smaller project just to play around with the looks of the orange beast. I blew my engine a month back and wasnt going to fix it.

Went to a wreckers and spent two days by myself and removed the whole engine. Now ive started the engine transplant. Engine wise it will all remain the same 1.8 etc.

However in a month time this little thing will change completely Stay tuned for that fellas

2 bloody days it took me !! Could have been playing xbox instead haha

Also bought a new seat, damn its good !

          • Alright so the reviving begins .. easiest way personally was to just drop everything on the floor and lift car over. So i did lol

Thanks to the hooligans that came past to 'help' *cough annoy me cough* last night, but we still got the job done.

Got my self the latest styling in clothing, a VW hoody ! Check it out

Old engine, gotta start transplanting water pump pulleys manifolds carby dizzy etc etc. I do have a very short ratio gearbox which did allow me to smoke alot of newer hondas like CU2 etc, but im going to put a long ratio to make it a summer cruiser and fuel saver on the freeway

Heres the new lump, with a friend more than happy to demonstrate with it -.-

            • Today was productive.

I have been putting the best parts out of my two 1.8s and my 2E together. Ive had a long ratio gearbox sitting in the garage for a few months without the speedo gear and cover, i was jsut curious if anyone knows a way to flush the gearbox oil so i can get any crap out that might have been sitting for a while? Ive never really done it to a gearbox so have no idea...

Heres the adjustable pulley (which i have no idea how advance retard etc works just yet haha)

Ive decided to use the 2E rocker cover for my 1.8 due to looks and the breather. Test fitting here, dont think there should be a problem

Any guru know if i can use a 2.0 2E camshaft in the 1.8 ADZ? Just the fact that it looks bigger, but i have no idea where to find the codes. I only found 'FC' .. was hoping it was a G grind cam

From riding bumpstops so much my engine mount has cracked and **** it self. I welded the absolute **** out of it today and made it really strong. Dont mind the welding, ive ground down and rewelded plenty of times. It just looks crappy

And finally got a really nice 2.5" crome tip of a friend for peanuts.. should sound and look really good with my varex.

Advance the cam to move the power lower in the RPM range. Retard the cam to move the power higher in the RPM range.

You won't find much of an advantage in regards to peak HP, moreso where you get it.

Hahah no argument there, Preeny. It doest the job i guess. And thanks for clearing that up about the pulley, ill need to do a bit more research into tuning it.

And Woody you reckon? Ive been told it has been done, but surely you'd know heaps more than me. Cheers for that dude
