oh sweet, they should look pretty good. if they're the ones i'm thinking of, they should look and sit pretty sweet on the old mk 1.

So i was talking to a friends, friend. and he happend to have a few old bmw's at his yard in keilor. so i took full advantage hahaha. I know 15" e30 rims are apparently hard to find?? but im quite sure these are 15" and im happy with them. all i want to do is get the right size tyre because i want the "stretched" look for it
By the way, im not sure how ppl will react to this but im thinking of giving them a gray/black paint to be a bit different as im going for a black/orange with the golf.
I cant afford them right now so he said worry about the payments later!! how cool lol!
Only thing is i have to look for the caps as they didnt have caps on em'.
here they are
5" lift kit hahahaha

Nah they are originally 4 stud but have the 5 stud lay-out. All of the e30 rims that i have seen are 4 stud. maybe im wrong. and i dont think they have been re drilled as the BMW i got it off was untampered with and i doubt the did all this work for these rims on that particular BM.- Orange Golf mk1 LS, 1.8 5speed, 32/36 - sold

Pretty sure they have been redrilled by the looks of the pics, don't know why someone would bother with those TBH?
What do the markings on the backs of the wheels say?sigpic

What I'm trying to say is that it looks too neat to be a re-drill. Maybe they were constructed for E30's and E34's, drilled from factory either way?

I had a closer look and they arnt the same as the e30 ones that i originally wanted.
What are ppl's thoughts, keep them or get other ones?
I want the tyre stretched, meaning i will buy new tyres, but is it worth spending it on these rims or do i chase others??? any advice?- Orange Golf mk1 LS, 1.8 5speed, 32/36 - sold

these are kinda a 'modern' looking wheel. imo retro is better. I would hold out and keep saving for a better (imo) wheel

Thats what i was thinking, the rims i really want is the bbs ones with the alan key bolts around it. So that i can make it deep dish. I really want a deep dish rim having in mind i want black rims to be differnt. Ill keep looking but im un certain as to waht to get still. Anyway its back to sanding for me. (almost done hopefully today is that last day)

BBS RS are very popular for golfs! they come up everynow and then, but are expensive. most sets got for over 1 grand. I know, but just keep saving!
and I feel your pain with sanding! been there done that. Remember the more effort you put in now, the better the end result will be! keep it up! (and take some more pics)
