Rebate really only covers the "amazing" overnight price rise LPG installs had. LPG ADDS to the EGT's, and as that's a bad thing for a turbo that's already going to be pushing it, I went the cooling fuel route. LPG isn't as good a fuel to mix with diesel as you might think, from all the research I've done. Works, but not ideal for my intended use!2014 Skoda Yeti TDI Outdoor 4x4 | Audi Q3 CFGC repower | Darkside tune and Race Cams | Darkside dump pDPF | Wagner Comp IC | Snow Water Meth | Bilstein B6 H&R springs | Rays Homura 2x7 18 x 8" 255 Potenza Sports | Golf R subframe | Superpro sways and bushings | 034 engine mounts | MK6 GTI brakes |

Well I've a nice suspension creak in the passenger rear now, and no doubt it's most likely nolathane bushings! Have to track down which one. Must say the car drives like it's on rails now, just need to drop it a bit and firm up the springs just a tad and I'll be very happy with the handling.2014 Skoda Yeti TDI Outdoor 4x4 | Audi Q3 CFGC repower | Darkside tune and Race Cams | Darkside dump pDPF | Wagner Comp IC | Snow Water Meth | Bilstein B6 H&R springs | Rays Homura 2x7 18 x 8" 255 Potenza Sports | Golf R subframe | Superpro sways and bushings | 034 engine mounts | MK6 GTI brakes |

Finally got my Provent install done properly. The 3/4 silicon hose is perfect, the 1" stuff is overkill. The 3/4" will stretch over the 1" Provent fittings, and its the stock VW elbows just perfect. 1 meter is PLENTY, but it depends where you mount it. The small Deka battery allowed me to squeeze both the Provent and the Meth tank in beside it for a nice neat install.
On the battery, it's been behaving perfectly, and the ONLY critism I can find is at night on the highway, if I REALLY crank my big amp, you can see the headlights dim with the sub excursions. But it's only apparent up really really loud on a big bassy track, and my amp is an old school USA made soundstream and draws some truely huge current.
Other than that, I can't fault the little battery!Last edited by Greg Roles; 21-02-2010, 09:03 PM.2014 Skoda Yeti TDI Outdoor 4x4 | Audi Q3 CFGC repower | Darkside tune and Race Cams | Darkside dump pDPF | Wagner Comp IC | Snow Water Meth | Bilstein B6 H&R springs | Rays Homura 2x7 18 x 8" 255 Potenza Sports | Golf R subframe | Superpro sways and bushings | 034 engine mounts | MK6 GTI brakes |

With my Provent the new install is MUCH cleaner, and that silicon pipe is indeed the ducks guts. I figure there's zero restriction in my vent system now, and I'm finally happy there.
Not a lot of major work this weekend, didn't get a lot of free time, but did get some small fiddly work done ready for all the electronics / meth.
Snow controller through the steering wheel, and my new custom meth, intercooler spray, air blower and AC defeat switches with LED's. Very fiddly work, but came up great and very flush, despite the camera flash making it look a bit sad. And don't dis Budda, or he'll blow up your turbo via karma.

must have been fun putting the meth control thorugh the steering wheel!
is the meth actually hooked up yet??? we want to see vids!
ps - i have no idea what SQ or JT are...'07 Touareg V6 TDI with air suspension

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, THAT'S what its for.
cool.
greg, is that a dry filter or oiled?
and also, have you done the maf grid delete or do you have a mafless tune?
and also, have you looked into a racepipe for the pd engine from like allard or someone?
im finally starting to see the sense in getting my hands dirty and atleast doing SOME of this stuff....

Dry filter to avoid any MAF sensor damage, however unlikely, with an oiled filter. MAF grid has been absent from waaaaay back mate, standard tune, zero problems. The grid is only there because of the sharp 90 degree lid outlet on the stock box. Fix the airflow, ditch the 22% restrictive grid. Making my own "racepipe" that still includes the important shutdown flap, in case of run away. You blow a turbo seal and start dumping oil ( fuel ) into the inlet with an Allard pipe, and well, you've got an out of control situation. Remember a diesel will happily ingest just about anything for fuel, and the fuel is the throttle.2014 Skoda Yeti TDI Outdoor 4x4 | Audi Q3 CFGC repower | Darkside tune and Race Cams | Darkside dump pDPF | Wagner Comp IC | Snow Water Meth | Bilstein B6 H&R springs | Rays Homura 2x7 18 x 8" 255 Potenza Sports | Golf R subframe | Superpro sways and bushings | 034 engine mounts | MK6 GTI brakes |

interesting. i'm sorta thinking about maybe one day looking into something like you've done with the intake setup- i mean, in one pipe, 90 degrees, up, 90 degrees, straight then like 130 degrees before the manifold (stock setup).... i'd prefer your setup.
as for the race pipe- i know that the mann hummel is the best short term fix, but will you eventually be cutting out ALL recirculation? if so, that's rad.
p.s. is stock box + maf grid removal a bad bad idea?

My oil vapour post Provent goes to exhaust already ( which I don't recommend as either legal, smart or good for the environment even through Mann & Hummel say it is! ), and the EGR system down to plumbing will be entirely removed at the turbo manifold on fitment of the DPF delete pipe! M y blanking plate will be right up at the turbo end, increasing the gas to spool the turbo in the process!
If you have a stock 90 degree box, leave the grid, it's why it's there. Lookin good cog. The Deka battery rocks and its piss easy to install in the location I had it isn't it.
Best way to save 11kg! Starts like a battery 4 times its size.*Disclaimer - Don't rely on me, seek your own professional advice. Audi R8 E-tron. 230kw 4500nm! (not a typo).
