Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

I wouldn't, you can get pumps and nozzles cheap. Question is, is it worth it?

    • Both are worth it, but not heading into winter! My Snow kit injects into the intake, but I have yet to inject anything but water. I have a coffee pump external spray for the intercooler, and yep it sure helps on hot days, but nowhere near the effect of a water meth kit into the intake.

Even without a DPF you will need to defeat the flap electronically, hopefully your tuner can do it!

Are you getting P2017 & P1443 errors? I disconnected my flap and EGR this morning and thats the errors it gave.

This picture shows the DTC codes in the ECU DTC table. The 2 highlighted lines are the lines responsible for those two codes.

I will zero them out and test the results.

            • This thread has gotten too long, and too little has happened, so time for a final thread, and FINALLY get this tinkering to the level I had always hoped for!!

Carformance has been a welcome hinderance to this timeline, but even I admit this has been the most drawn out build EVER....
