The H&R springs go a bit lower but are apparently much firmer... ride quality etc is very much subjective, however I can honestly say that my Roc rides better with the Eibach setup than it did on the OEM springs.
There are plenty of pics of my car in here for you to gauge how it looks.. with the current wheel / tyre combo the rear looks a little high but that is just down to the different tyre sizes front to rear.
Hmm interesting information, thanks for the info. I did speak with Eibach in NSW so its an interesting point that his measurements that I received were 365front and 369rear. When I measured mine mine was as previously stated already lower than those measurements.

I do like the firmer ride so will definitely look into the H&R i think thanks again.

Stacks of Golf R's and GTI's running the H and R springs including my own car - they seem to be a more popular option than the Eibach's for some reason. The H and R's certainly seem to be easier to get hold of anyway. Orange Tuning in Germany is the place to look, $280 delivered for my springs. You can't purchase via the online store, but email Frank at info@orange-tuning.de with details of what you want and he sends you a PayPal invoice.

So basically you dont actually place your order through the website.

I've got the 20mm springs in my Golf R, but as the Rocco sits up higher (especially at the rear) the 30-35mm springs they offer for the Rocco would be perfect: H&R VW Scirocco 3 Sportfedersatz 30-35mm (ABE) Audi Tuning, BMW Tuning, VW Tuning, Opel Tuning, Mercedes Tuning, Mini Tuning

        • +1 for H&R 30-35mm. Happy driving about in sport mode for the majority of the time. Rough country roads at 110km/hr can get bumpy, but not too bad in comfort mode.

Also very happy with the drop compared to stock. Would've loved the KW DDC setup but $$$!

          • Yup. I'm running H&R 35mm too. I can say that the car looks perfect and it will only love smooth roads. Bumpy country roads can be scary once you're past 110kph so if that's an issue, you either leave it stock, or go for KW V3.

            • You guys with the H&R's see it helping reducing some wheel spin? assuming lower centre of gravity would help keep the car down to the floor... got my giac St2 and dump and the wheelspin in a bit ridiculous... not looking to spend heaps of $$ on sussy work.

              • haha in theory yeah, but mine spins a fair amount as is in the dry on WOT.. Tyre tread is also getting low so that'd contribute too. Firming up the bushes, sway bars etc etc all would help getting the power down somewhat and some fatter tyres.

                • haha yeah trying to convince myself to get springs, and wheelspin reduction (how ever small) may contribute...
no matter what road/weather if it drops to 1st *SPIN*SPIN*SPIN*
tyres are still new as well.

                  • ^ Superpro anti lift kit might be a good option for you to help with wheelspin issues and also axle tramp (wheel hop) SuperPro Parts

A dog bone mount will also help somewhat with wheelspin: SuperPro Parts

                    • They do seem to help wheelspin (though probably not when you do launch control ). I have the Whiteline anti lift kit and HPA mount (red 75) replacement - more vibration at low rpm than stock though.

                      • Cheers guys, although i had the mount insert in my GTI - the vibration (esp. reversing) is not worth the benefits

                        • Just got the GIAC 1 today...and wow the car drives totally different...
Sounds cliche but the power distribution and gear ratio is so much nicer!!!!
                          Definitely a go!

Thats why you get the VWR one not the HPA one.

Yes i agree - i recently installed the HPA one and it's driving me insane. Too much vibration when taking off from a standstill (manual car here) and also when at low rpm (like going around a tight corner at 10kph in 2nd gear). I'll be going back to the stock rubber mount with a poly insert.
