Well in that case expect some Scirocco pics in my photography thread straight after new years, they already said they'd give me a sneaky play overnight or for a weekend so now they've got not excuse!

It appears that the Scirocco has the same seats as a Passat CC or R36? I could be wrong but they look the same. I am heading down next week to have a look at one. What VIC dealers have them at the moment?

Had aquick/10min test drive in a viper green manual today and dealer was good enough to let me give it a proper go. They also supposedly took delivery of rising blue dsg demo today. initial impressions are great exhaust note, thought suspension was good even in sport mode on a surface that was average, goes much harder and is much tighter than my mkv gti (no surprise but feels brutal in comparison, which is great...)rear visibility not great but not as bad as reported in my opinion, i reckon interior is let down by lack of leather option and my gti with leather is nicer inside but i will get over it! Bring on mid-end of jan when my reflex silver Rocco arrives!

Should also note that was impressed with XDL, which seemed to do a really good job removing wheel spin

Had a very brief view of a Rising Blue Scirocco R as it hove into view about 100 metres ahead of me at some speed around the corner and then accelerated absolutely flat out along the road past me up to maybe 120kmh+.

Sounded nice.

Which boat is yours on? Mine is on the Elektra which is due into Port Kembla around the 26th January.
That will make it a mid Feb delivery into my hands...

I just sold my mkv gti and am waiting on delivery of my rising blue dsg scirocco. The dealer told me that mine is due early jan which sounds sooner than the others here but then again i have had my name down since may so i expect that mine would be one of the first to arrive. Ive never seen a scirocco before and the dealer has yet to receive their demo so i cant wait to collect mine. From the pics i've seen it should be great.

You will find that despite it landing early in January they will not be allowed to deliver it to you until the Official release day.. bummer I know.
You should get your VIN number from your Stealer and go to https://att.2wglobal.com/gstattweb/o...uickSearchPage enter your VIN in the Cargo ID and it will tell you all about the Ship, due date etc.

It's on Figaro due Port Kembla 10 Jan (was originally 4th then 7th so we'll see!) Dealer reckons I'll have it late jan but early feb seems most likely with official launch etc. keen to hear feedback from extended test drives

Not sure how it relates but my Stealer just traded a Grey R32 that was nice but certainly not pristine for Mid $30K. Not sure what they traded it on or how many Km it had on it...

I am going to put my Mondeo XR5 on the market soon.. there are no 2008 models advertised online at all in NSW at present... not sure if that is good or bad

If anyone is interested, there is a Rising Blue Scirocco R at Kloster VW in Newcastle. I just had a look at it this morning - lovely looking car. If your interested, give them a call and ask for Terry Knight - he was my salesman and he is a top bloke.

Ask your Dealer for the info... if they are being honest with you and you have signed on the dotted line they will hand all the info over... but even if it is in the Country now you won't be able to take delivery until it is Officially released for Sale... most likely in Feb.
