          Hmm I am off to Brisbane for most of next week for work...might go up on Monday to check it out.
          If they are open Saturday afternoons I might go tomorrow... after watching SENNA and having Yum Cha in Blacktown.

                That will probably be what I do.... but I don't see there will be a massive difference in price given Dealers will not do any deals on the initial batch much as they are not doing deals on the GTi ED35. I guestimate an identical one will be around the $64k mark at RRP Drive away (NSW) if on sale now. Who knows what the pricing will be like in 8 or 9 months time given how volatile things are right now...

                Anyway, it doesn't hurt to have a look and dream

                  They aren't going to be less! They are quoting $68k plus There is no official release date either.. Plus uk have got up to one year wait for Sciroccos and so do NewZealand. So how do you think Volkswagen Australia are going to get cars?

                    Well I had a real good look at the CW one yesterday and I have to say they are quite different to sit in than a Golf.
                    It is lower initially and definitely feels to have more room inside (other than the back seat of course).
                    There was a RB one there as well but I much prefer the CW, it just seems classier IMO.

                      Knew you would like it Andrew.. Hope you can get rid of your other car..
                      They have another CW with sunroof and 19inch in NZ waiting to come over, Maybe give a deposit and give yourself time to sell your other car.

                        It seems there are plenty of people out there who are quite willing to pay the asking price as Scuderia Imports are selling all they can get their hands on... and after having a real close look and sit I can understand why....

                          They are? Could have sworn they said the Scirroco R would be priced (base price) similar to the 3 dr Golf R. So, probably looking at mid 50s for a base spec Scirocco R on the road. Once they start selling officially imported VW Sciroccos what will the effect be on the resale of all these NZ imported versions?

                            Scirocco R's from VW Australia are going to be full spec! You don't get a choice.. Like when they brought in only 200 of the MKIV R32!
                            It's going to be a similar thing with the scirocco R..
                            Good luck getting one in the $50k mark!

                              The resale will ne no different as these are new cars not used.. Plus they come with a two year Volkswagen Australia warranty.
                              No difference really, except you can wait for year of you can have one now.
