      Hi Andy,

The suspension is KW V3. It has been lowered further from that photo.

According to some member, the "valid" question they asked have been met with hostile response.
So I am hoping to share what I know if they have a real valid question, not pisstake.

Funnily enough, those questions have gone quiet now.

Strange that... I am still waiting for a PM letting me know the NSW Dealer who is accepting Orders at $49K plus On roads.

To ensure all valid info is up I will ask what I believe to be the only legit question anyone other than Scuderia can answer...

Were you overly concerned (or are you) that the re-sale value of your Scirocco will be slashed when VWA start selling the same car?

It didn't concern me but maybe I am in the monority. Not that I ended up purchasing one from Scuderia... it just didn't work out unfortunately.

Anyway.... sweet machine mate... I am going to have to keep an eye out for meets etc so I can get to see it up close and personal.

I'm not concerned about resale value of the car at all. Planning to keep this one for a while. More mods to go on it anyway.
The thing is with modifying car, you can never sell it for what you spend.
Realistically, from what I have experienced, if you sell your car outside the warranty period, it doesn't really matter if it is a private import or official import.

I think people just over react.

            Hey fellas.

Play nice, otherwise I lock the thread and every single other thread relating to this topic. AP simply stated what he got his Scirocco for and where they are available. No one gives a crap about a pricing flame war, or petty bull**** like retail value etc. Who cares, if you buy a car for its resale you're doing it wrong anyway.

pull ya heads in, or I'll chop them off

That car you are talking about isn't a R. It's a TSI with a ABT bodykit that Ramspeed installed, plus it's got a true and exhaust. Yes he did buy $48, plus it was second hand with 30,000kms on the clock.
It's now for sale on vwgolf.net for $70k.

Nope and yes I have seen that guy run around in Auburn just parked off Parramatta Rd.

But it wasnt that car, different numberplate and different engine. This car had R written all over the place badges, seats and engine.

Would love to see a photo of this R steve, as Scuderia imports are the only importers with approval for the Scirocco R's at the moment.. Other companies will be months away.
Scuderia have a brand new Blue R at there worl shop now!

Yeah no worries I will when I next see him. I was in a rush to get back to work I saw this outside the Formula 1 motel at the olympic park.

If I had time I would have taken some photos, I was walking passed and talking to him in a hurry. I knew of the one in Auburn, but what caught my eye was the R sticker on the side other wise I would have kept walking.

Maybe a personal import then? Could of brought it over with him if he migrated to Australia, or bought it off someone who did the same thing??

Yeah most likely.. IMG international motor group have used Scirocco R's in stock starting at $48k. I know of a black manual.. But there are some time away from getting them complied.

                                Spotted this one on CarSales...
2009 VOLKSWAGEN SCIROCCO GT DSG 3rd Gen Private Cars For Sale in NSW - carsales.com.au

Maybe ambitious with the pricing... I much prefer the R front end over the ABT kit though.
