Yep, the June firmware was a cluster****. May one is stable though, as mentioned by goobz, apart from the various known bugs.

Hanging onto this unit by a thread, frankly. This **** is gettin real old.

Is there any way to get the dark red outlines back. Now it doesn't just work like crap it looks like crap. Here is my version.

Am I right in thinking this SD USD NAV conflict is a hardware issue and not a firmware/driver issue?

Decided to send AS an email and annoy them haha, see how their software dev is going etc. They said there should be a new stable version out next week some time (y)

Pretty sure it's just a driver/firmware/WinCE potato issue, but who knows.

I feel like I've been reading this bi-weekly, forever now. I had such high hopes things would get fixed up, in Sept then Nov then Feb... Etc etc broken record....
At what point do you all just admit they can't fix **** and return for a refund?? I'm pretty surprised the group buy is still active for how big of a fail this has been, on AS's side. I commend the guy running this, but I don't understand how you all are just willing to take this month after month when a refund is still avail.
The fact that the AS unit has "good" hardware does not excuse the overwhelming frustration of constantly dealing with glitches, broken features, patches and rollbacks.

Yep yep yep yep, totally agree. I'm pretty sure there's only a handful of us who even have units any more, and chances are most of else has probably asked for refunds.

Real shame, but yea, not much else you can really do. I'm just sticking out, see what happens, if we get to the end of the year and its still a mess i'll see what my options are.

It's a failure on AS for underestimating the development time it would require, and a real shame given the hardware, and that there are other manufacturers (Eonon springs instantly to mind), who can ship units for low cost with software that actually functions how it should (though their cheapness is their downfall).

It would be nice (Android Auto and Apple Carplay), but really, can't see it happening, between the licensing costs, and Audiosources apparent inability to develop a working product within a decent amount of time. Yea.

The Google/Android Auto stuff might not be expensive to license (or may not involve a license at all), though Apple probably is. Google is generally just trying to get consistent platform support and adoption. For example, a chinese company can make an Android phone without paying much (if anything) to Google at all right now.

I was really excited about this unit but now I don't think it will be ever finished. It seems they focused on so many things instead of making a consistent simple unit and then add new functionalities.

Hello, Matias,

Here is the link for newest firmware for DNS,

http://tinyurl.com/ogwhx5k, the step is the same as before,

But what you should pay attention to is that after you unzip the file, pls copy UPD to your SD card at first,

and then, copy the other balence files together. The second point is that when you update the firmware on the unit, MCU is the last software to update.

After you update sucessfully, pls send me the system version to me.
