    • Got into the glue on the floor and firewall with some acetone today. Came up pretty good. Got rid of some more of the old tar etc from the firewall, got most of the foam off etc.

I'm going to seam weld the floor braces etc too, but probably not tomorrow.

I'll get some of that sealer that Calais mentioned and when i'm finished i'll seal it all. It comes in white, which is great. I can apply it and not have to paint over it!

No pics because i didn't take the camera.

Doesn't sound like an extremely hard job to do. I've got the tools, now all i need is the parts and some skill. Haha.

I'll investigate this further this weekend. Cheers for the info dude. Muchly appreciated.
SEAT or Mk2 is better as the Mk3 Golf one bolts to the kneebar, which SEATs and Earlier Golfs dont have so the shape is different.

Also 1.8 and 2L Golfs and Seats have th 9" Booster which is too big to bit into the drivers side. 1.4 Ibiza has the 8" Booster and still has the late model master cylinder, so is perfect.

I have some SEAT pedal boxes stashed away if you cant find one. Happy to hook a brother up.

            • they look mint

they are fairly serious about there continuity and quality control(which of course is a good thing)

love the sticker on the inner box

              • Yeah i'm pretty happy with them. A lot of people use them and work them harder than I will without failure so i think i'll be ok.

It's funny, anything out of the states always has those "Not legal for highway use" or "Not legal in California" warnings on them.

                  • Hahaha. Yeah yeah yeah.. What ever.

Not really sure. Lots of things to pay for and lots of other engagements at the moment but i'm getting on top of it. Hopefully next week i'll get the block to my engine guy to get bored and honed. Then it's on to reassembly, which thankfully doesn't cost money. Haha.
