The problem is, they had a great bunch of ads - which generated a heap of interest. But they cant even get cars to current customers in a timely manner, so attracting more customers isnt high on their priority list.

Supply versus demand needs plenty of attention by Skoda but they don't seem to care. What's the projected order period if an order was placed today?

My dealer activated my warranty 10 days before I picked it up (so that the sale went on their June figures). This caused a minor kerfuffle at the end of the warranty when I thought I had 9 days left to get a couple of items sorted out & I was 1 day out of warranty.

I had a similar situation with my Polo and appealed to VW Australia for a Grace Period repairs under Warranty Terms. Teach me to leave things to the last minute, but VW did do $1400 plus worth of works.

This has been discussed before for newcomers. The 2 year warranty extension priced at $1650 can be had for around $1100. It must be purchased before delivery. It is a full factory backed 2 year extension of the warranty. I have no idea what else is being offered out there but people would be foolish to consider anything other than the official Skoda 2 year extension of the standard 3 year warranty.

What are dealers charging for Dealer Delivery?

Anyone know what Rubber Floor Matts front and rear, and a Plastic Boot Dish cost for the RS?

There's no such thing as a factory backed warranty after the first yr. Skoda provide 1 yr and VWA front anything after that including the extra two yrs. And from memory Allianz underwrite the extra yrs, possibly even the 2yrs in the standard warranty.

VWA or Skoda whatever. Same group. Not a 3rd party. We debated this before and ended up digging into clauses, booklets and terms. Unless you know something I don't (which is possible) you are wrong. There was no mention of Allianz. I went through this myself and did the needed due diligence required.

Was fortunate to get in on a group buy a member kindly offered so we just paid local UK postage for 3 units. I can speak to the product only. It fits well, seems to be made well and comes with comprehensive instructions, tape and cleaning wipes. Rearguards also do not list a VRS hatch specific item (unlike the combi) so there were concerns it might not fit. It does.

Picking up my RS tomorrow! The dealer used a 19" wheel from a new display room car to replace the one that damaged when they took my car off the ship, rather than wait for a new one to be delivered. So she got the car today, and has arranged the protection pack and reversing camera to be be installed by the time I will pick it up tomorrow. She also threw in the cargo netting and floor mats to ease the pain of the delay. Very happy with the dealer - she was pragmatic in finding ways to get me the car quicker and provided some minor compensation even when it was outside of her control.

Floor mats come std with MY15 cars don't they? But the cargo nets are a bonus

Good on them for doing the right thing with the rim.

Carpet mats are standard. I have seen talk of rubber mats but no idea what they look like.
