Great to hear people are starting to see light at the end of the tunnel. I'm keen to hear how the ACC and park assist works on a manual, if anyone has spec'd it. Also, I think an update on the mystery of the missing vRS badge on the FBSW is due. The 'wrong' car I was delivered did not have the badge.

Car is being unloaded at Port Kembla as we speak......slightly nervous and excited. I can almost taste that new car smell.

Will do. Regarding the missing badge, was there any empty slot or gap that the badge fitted in? I personally don't mind it without the badge but if its obvious that its missing then I'd try and rectify it through the dealer.

Just got my call from the dealer. He says my RS will be built as part of a batch in mid Oct with an ETA of late Jan or early Feb in Oz. Wouldn't/couldn't give a build week. It's a wagon with the tech pack ordered 2 July. Hopefully the boat tracking phase will start in the not too distant future.

RS without the badge = even more of a sleeper car! Maybe it was just the Friday arvo model they delivered to you... better off without it

I wouldn't know but some of the more knowledgeable guys on here suggest they do Oz orders in batches and dealer defo said it was part of the 'batch' being built then. I've also heard shipping can be less than 2 months so depending on how long the gaps are between factory and ship and ship and dealer, I'm hoping the ETA of Jan could work out. It was the original one at time of purchase. Have a hol to the Vic Alps planned second half of Jan. Psychologically I'm not depending on that, but who knows?! Nice prezzie on my return if not.

I received my Skoda welcome pack in the mail three months after I took delivery. Last time I bought a Skoda it took twenty months!

I guess they have a bit of spare time at the moment with all this waiting for boats to arrive.

LOL. I try to do that in my line of work, but I suspect my customers don't always see it that way when the overdeliver part goes wrong
