New Octavia ....when? How Much?

Those who ordered the new RS, have you had any feedback from your Skoda dealers regarding delivery?

We may have to start an order date thread like they did in Briskoda!

No nothing yet, but a couple of RS models have been loaded on boats late April so I think our wait is much shorter compared to the UK. I'm probably going to get in touch with the dealer next week.

Just following up, Skoda Info responded to me this afternoon and very politely reconfirmed the advice in the forum, the RS does not have the option of heated seats.

Trailer Hitch Preparation
Does anyone know if the Aussie cars come with trailer prep?

According to the info they come with trailer prep, which consists of the wiring to the back of the car enabling the wiring socket and lead to be connected at a later stage. Not much use at the moment considering the towbar isn't available.

Anyone know if there are footwell lamps on when driving in the evenings? I'd like that feature as I might have driven a Golf with floor lamps/footwell lights on....

Hi guys, new to the forum.

Looking to join the queue in ordering an RS combi. Looking like getting most of the options as well. For the money new there is nothing that comes close to it in terms of spec and power. I'm really looking forward to it unless for some reason I happen to come across a Golf R at the right price.

Will the new golf stuff be compatible with this vehicle? Ie, suspension and engine mods? The ride height needs to come down an inch or two on the 19's. I'm keen to see what APR or Milltek come up with for the exhaust.

I'm concerned about the colours as at this stage my thoughts are the metal grey, race blue or the cooler white ( the name escapes me at the moment).
Anyone got any thoughts other than the white will be a pain to match if it has to be? I'm really struggling with that decision. The metal grey looks very similar to the Daytona grey in the Audi catalogue. The blue is very nice, but I'm sure many people will be going that route.

Any thoughts on the leather, I have seen one with it and I'm thinking I'm going for it. Never had leather, but carting a dog around and potentially kid in a year or two I think the leather is the smart choice.

Moon white is metallic, candy white is non metallic. Next to each other iirc moon white looks 'whiter' but I've seen a few candy white IRL and it is certainly a white white. Just looks more creamy white next to moon white. One of the Grey's looks like battleship paint.... Which is certainly unique. I had race blue on a mk2 rs and it was a fantastic color. Going candy white this time on the wife's Octavia. Depends what you want and how much time you have to look after it lol

Metal Grey might be close to Daytona Grey. Wish they had Audi's Monsoon Grey. I looked at Metal Grey on a Yeti and much as I wanted to love it it was not that impressive. Having said that it was kind of hard to visualize a metal grey yeti as a black pack vrs. Shame as I like a good gunmetal grey shade.

I agree that the candy white is nice, I'm just thinking that the moon white might just look a little sharper in the flesh. I have a friend with a scirocco with the same colour as candy white (i imagine the VW colour of the same name is the same hue) and it's very nice.

Ive re checked out the links on the previous page. It's literally all I have done today...

Definitely steering toward the metal grey over the flat grey. I love the flat grey, I'm just not convinced its going to age well.

Have no no idea which way I will go especially worse considering its new and will have to be ordered. If I can find a metal grey anything near me I will look at it.

I'm getting leather because I have kids and it endures them, and when I jump in the car all sweaty after the gym I can wipe it down and in cloth it would absorb and accumulate over time.

I've noticed in UK guys pics who have leather, the leather loosens around the head of the seat and in other parts.... Meaning it's not tightly sitting on the seat cushion frame and loosens which is in appealing when leather shouldn't stretch off the seat... Fabric for me.
