I've also heard shipping can be less than 2 months so depending on how long the gaps are between factory and ship and ship and dealer, I'm hoping the ETA of Jan could work out.

i don't mean to b a party poopper here, but once ur car rolls off the production line, it is then put on a train and taken (2-3 day journey) to the sea port (BREMERHAVEN), where it sits in a holding yard, until a spot on a ship is available, for ur port of destination.
sometimes it will spend a day or two waiting to be put on a ship.
sometimes u just missed the boat....literally, and have to wait a couple of days, week or two before the next one sets sail.

It seems Skoda Australia are improving!

I received my Skoda welcome pack in the mail three months after I took delivery. Last time I bought a Skoda it took twenty months!

I guess they have a bit of spare time at the moment with all this waiting for boats to arrive.

Mine left Bremerhaven on the 7th July and came into Port Kembla yesterday. So 6 weeks all up.

No mine was on Asian King. The boat constantly dropped in and out of satellite range. You lose it as its going from South Africa to Fremantle and the tracking will be on and off around Australia too until it reaches your port.

How long were you prepared to wait on a custom order? December does not strike me as too bad.

I want to be in a new car in Jan, thats 5 months. Dec was for a wagon, im after a sedan, was quoted Aug 2015.
Ultimately I don't believe any of these times, given that its taking months for people to even get a build date, I have no trust in those delivery times. Ill just have to move on.
