I think climate control is a big omission in the base models......lots of other lower end models have it. At least, make it available in the tech pack with the amb+!

I ordered 2 weeks ago,and car is in the country today.Dealer tells me i should receive it in two more weeks.
Why are people waiting.Look around,some dealer will have what ur looking for or have it on its way.

Agreed. My dealer found one already on the boat and not taken and close to my specs so I bought it. Ask your dealers to look up the incoming ship inventories, which they can easily do, and check whats available. Receiving mine by late June/ early July. So all in all I have only to wait 4-5 weeks all up.

Yes I got a discount though it was hard to tell how much because of a trade in.

When I decided what I wanted , a search showed one in Qld. and one on the boat. Took the one on the boat , was about 8 days from arrival to my garage. Helps it only went from Pt. Kembla to Wollongong, probably via somewhere else though.

It was my custom order which was built without Tech Pack and Panoramic sunroof that I ordered. It will be one of the first of the black pack cars I think which is pretty nifty. Thanks for the update on built times too, saves me hassling my dealer. The whole RVC or not techpack option has probably caused delays too.

I had heard on briskoda that ACC is one of the delay causing options (vRS and TDI apparently the other two main ones!). Sucks as I got the car with a tech pack (with that in it!) and dont want to go without as I really want the xenons.

I mention this the other week.

My dealer had a report come in saying that any car with the Tech Pack inclusive of the Adaptive Cruise Control might have a delay as there is a higher demand and issue with sourcing the parts for the system. Though Skoda Aus did not advise dealers to inform buyers - there is a Skoda meeting today possibly to discuss this delay issue.

I'll write up a post before the end of today WST letting you guys know what the go will be.

That news would be disappointing but not surprising given all the chatter on Briskoda about ACC component supplies. I have a May order estimated to be here Oct/Nov time. I cannot imagine an essential component used across so many VW vehicles could have such a supply issue for an extended period.

Skoda AUS may have to break up the tech pack and split out the ACC feature. I would be fine with that assuming a downward adjusted price. Or add in folding mirrors and heated seats as a replacmement!!

However with slowing demand from the initial release rush and talk of emphasising more VRS production I cannot imagine these 6 month lead times keeping up indefinitely.

Gotta say the delays have forced me to look in another direction. I was very keen on an RS with all the trimmings but estimates are jan-feb 2015. Looking at getting a used R with low km's. Will probably reconsider the octavia in the future, but I would say by that point an A4 avant will get the nod.

My car will be built sometime in JULY 2014.. Meaning a month later, (ordered in May) as it was meant to be built week 22... With delivery in October sometime now... (Was Sept) bit more of a wait now eh...

Folding mirrors and grey stitching was something I pushed, it was very close to getting done (contacts with factory) but won't be available for Australian production! Damn... Was really close...

You ordered in may and already have a build date???? I ordered at the start of may and have nothing. Just an ambition plus, not an rs
