No reversing camera

That's what I was told too, by a Skoda salesman.
If true it's pure bastardry not to offer a potentially life saving device for the sake of separating different VAG brands.
Having put a lot of klms on cars with reversing cameras, I think they are excellent and will be compulsory in the near future. My Skoda pics are at: http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/f35/...tml#post551162

Because they don't automatically stop the car if it senses/sees an obstacle. The cameras are no good for children already below the bumper or running in from the side.
The only solution is to reduce the times you need to reverse near children and to make sure whilst you are in the car you can SEE all the children whilst you reverse. Some say that driveways etc should be fenced off from toddlers like pools.

Incidentally, the side sensors are part of the Park Assist automated parallel and perpendicular parking system which my wife loves.
Ideally you'd have a choice, but it's pretty good.Last edited by occy; 11-01-2014, 08:26 PM.Steve, 2013 Octavia 1.4TSI Elegance wagon

I don't want any of the accessories. I want a AWD wagon, 2.0 l turbo and a 6 speed manual gearbox. I ll settle for A/C and "cruise" every thing else is excess baggage and bound to cause drama. I can live without reversing cameras, elec. windows, remote boot motors, auto wipers/headlights, traction control etc, etc. Maybe they ll make a vRS 'track version'........As if...2014 MY14 Corrida Red Elegance Wagon TDI
