the other day my dad bought a new mower, asked me to bring the wagon because he knew he couldn't fit it in his mazda3 sedan.
i popped open the boot, and the box fit in with about a foot around it all sides with the cover retracted. dad's face was priceless.

almost a year ago i was able to fit a fully assembled baby change table from ebay in the wagon, seats up, cover off.

Stage 2+ baby.....nice

had the APR 3" RSC Full Exhaust installed at cvwc belconnen today.
part num: FE100021


fitting was hassle free - unbolt the stock exhaust, and bolt on the new.
took 2hrs to fit, including the fitting of the whiteline rear swaybar - BWR20XZ

must say - i can't stop smiling.
sounds ferocious when giving it the boot. otherwise a nice rumble with leisurely driving.

haven't got pics of the swaybar on, but here r some of the exhaust in.......

yup....the downpipe bolted on, hassle free - both ends.

i didn't realise how restrictive the stock downpipe was until it was removed and explained (the different components) to me!!

I'm on stage 2+ because the vRS comes with the uprated fuel pump, so it can handle the additional demands.
Ideally I should have an intake too, but with these ccz engines, its not much difference.
Should I decide to get an aftermarket intake later on, I won't need to retune

I don't know what real "power" figures I'm on now. The apr full exhuast was meant to provide n additional 18kW and 27Nm.
That being the case, I should b on approx. 200kW and 430NM.....in theory

id go for the intake ASAP. people say it makes no difference, but youd be very surprised. there are always gains to be had over factory parts.

if everything was so good, we wouldn't need to change anything except the tune.

taking my car back in on wednesday to get the rear swaybars checked.
they've been squeaking, groaning and popping from day 1
think it needs some lubing.

meanwhile, the exhaust has settled nicely.


anyways, thought i'd have a look around and see how much an "APR" badge would cost - ECS Tuning was spectacular.....i.e. no thanks.
almost $60 usd to ship a tiny badge?!?!?! fark me.

yup......i'm getting mine from apr aus.
i was just curious to c wat was out there, and shocked to see ecs-tuning charged $60 for shipping alone, for something that could fit in a std padded envelop!!


on the rear swaybar front - its all sorted now. turns out one of the brackets/mounts was on a slight angle, hence the squeaking/creaking/groaning.
thank goodness
