Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Thanks mate. The supplier ran out of matt black (which was what I originally wanted) but I'm very happy with the matt anthracite instead since they can appear matt black in low light conditions

                      Factories.
Never wanna go over 18" on my RS... Hit an enormous pot hole about half an hour ago - left a scratch. These country roads just aren't built for themz wheelz.

Besides, I want a set of anthracite wheels.
Now to get an air gun and hydraulic jack.
"Hmm, which wheels would I like to use today..."

I was originally thinking of repainting the factory wheels too to save some coin since they have plenty of tread left on them but then had always wanted the VMR style wheels so bit the bullet after a long time. Shoot me a PM and we can talk further.

Gave the car its first wash since polishing/waxing, MAN it's slick to wash now! The mitt just glides!
                          And check DAT BEADING:

Put a quick spray of Duragloss Aquawax over it while I was drying it too.

Also removed the wheels to rotate them front to rear, as well as completely cleaning the insides of them, claying them and sealing them. I could not believe how much tar was stuck to the insides, took APC and clay and lots of rubbing to remove! Also cleaned the arches right out while I had the wheels off.
