What did you do to your Octavia today?

Just spent half an hour on the phone to the insurance company, and after being transferred several times to wrong people, I finally called back and got someone helpful who has booked an assessor to come to my house and inspect the car correctly next week. Hopefully this can all be resolved.

i didn't like the crappy black plastic skoda badge on the engine cover, so i bought an 80mm hood/boot badge & stuck it on.

replaced cabin & air filters
replaced spark plugs

went to replace the N75 boost control solenoid & decided it was a path to disaster (access, special hose clamps). Camden GTI can have that job.

Not today, but a couple of months ago...

Replaced the boot lights with the LED units from Superskoda. Makes an enormous difference - a highly recommended upgrade!

Jeez, I tell ya - if you think you ever might need a windscreen you'd better get your order in at the first sign of a crack. I ordered one about 3 months ago and it's still not in. Dealer gave me some mularky about it being held up because of a bad batch with faulty laminations (I reckon they just forgot my order). Lucky I just have a crack in mine and it's not actually busted - yet. Although at the rate it attracts stones it won't be long. I get more severe stone hits in this car than in all other cars combined.
