Hi, I've just ordered a new mk6 GTI with great excitement as I've been an admirer since the mk5 was released. It will be a long wait to April until my new toy arrives but I've been waiting years for one of these lovely machines so I should be able to get through a few more months. I hope!

Stumbled onto this forum via the Club Touareg forum. I brought an 04 V10Touareg a couple of months ago, my first ever VW, and I'm loving it! I'm from Melbourne. Came to know about the Touaregs via the movie "The Bourne Ultimatium" and the vehicle really caught my eye. I have had as far as 4wd's a Landcruiser (extremely heavy on fuel and needed to be towed due to breakdown fairly regularly) and few Discoveries (that I only owned for a few months due to them being so gutless and always needing fixing). So I am hoping that the Treg ends up with a bit better track history, it is certainly NOT gutless!!!!!

Hi, I have being reading many of the posted topics and find them very helpful so I have decided to contribuite also.

I just traded my GTI MkII with 166000 Km that I bought new in 92 for a new 09 118 TSI with SPORTS PACK and PARK ASSIST. The deal took 4 1/2 hours of negotiation but by the end I think I got a good deal at $37,400 drive away with my trade in worth only $2,500. I hop this helps. if I got taken let me know.

I've just ordered my first VW!

It's an R36 Wagon,Biscay Blue, Sat Nav, Sunroof, Bluetooth, Dynaudio Upgrade, Auto Tailgate. It's being delivered 22Mar10 and I can't wait.

Current car is a Lexus IS250 Sport Luxury, but with 2 teenage kids was just getting too small. Whittled my list down to the R36 wagon and took one for a test drive and LOVED it!
