  • Gday

Hey, just recently (2 weeks ago) purchased my Mk4 R32, shes my first car and am loving every bit of her! Looking to do pretty much nothing to the exterior other than a paint touch up, and maybe powder coat the rims. Maybe some minor modifications on ECU, brakes, and suspension. I live in Sydney however come down to Melbourne every so often.

    Cheers

        • New van life

          Hey all,
I'm in the process of buying a 2006 Transporter van to get me and the significant other to the beach with boards and keep us there as long as the waves are rolling in. I've read heaps of useful stuff on these forums which has helped me get the background on the van I want. So thanks to all who've had the same questions as I have!
More questions to come when I get around to fitting the van out for sleeping and living for extended road trips away...

G'day all. Just a very quick g'day. Won't take up much of your time. I owned a VW Beetle back in 1998, but my girlfriend at the time somehow ended up with that one upon breaking up.

I join you now, driving a 2001 Holden Vectra, married to a beautiful wife and our firsnt child 4 months away!

I've recently fallen in love with the VW R36 wagon (don't tell my wife) - and I'm hoping to find one for sale in NSW over the coming months. I wanted to join this forum in order to get a jump on the market should one of the members be thinking of selling their R36.

I'll keep a look out as much as I can - but please email me if you are, or know of anyone who may be looking to offload a R36 to someone who will look after it and make the most of everything it has to offer.

Cheers, and a very happy new year to everyone.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you out there!!

Just layed down a deposit today for my first VW.

118TSI DSG w Sportspac and delivery time of just 3 weeks.

Probably should have shopped around a bit more than I did. Will be interested to see what others think of the deal I got. I noticed a thread that goes into detail on Mk 6 Golf pricing so will post details there for comment.

Have 24 hrs to "cool down" where I can back out if I think I can get a better deal elsewhere.

                      118TSI DSG in black
                      Sportspac
                      Mats
                      Bluetooth
                      reverse sensors
                      37.5K

Interested in any comments as to whether this was a decent price or not.
                      Purchased in Sydney.

                      All the Best

                        • About to be a Mk6 90TSI Owner !

                          Hi all...

Well I'm on the verge of stepping into VW world for the first time......it's exciting

I'm just waiting on finance approval to come through for my Jet Silver MK6 90TSI Trendline from Barloworld Glen Waverley.

I signed the paperwork for it on 31/12 - they had a no stamp duty/delivery/rego, etc deal which helped greatly - almost like getting a discount on the RRP

It's been optioned up to a Comfortline spec, and have included rear parking sensors as well. There's an option to tint it via the dealer for around $400 - but I have to possibly delete that for now as I have to speak to a signwriter about how tint and vinyl wraps go - I'm going to signwrite it for my business, including one of those one way rear screen ads (ie you see out, can't see in).

I was going to go the Dynaudio, but you know what - the base model sound is above average, and I've got the Media In added as well so i can play the iPhone/iPod.

The delivery is about 3 weeks off, which is fine - as I'm shifting to my partner's parent's house in 2 weeks - and it'll be chaotic !

One more thing....I've had in the past - Holden Barina (good car), Suzuki Ignis (**** car), Nissan Pulsar (good until it dropped a gearbox almost out of the car !) and most recently a Mazda3 SP23 (nice car, lots of power, bit pricey to run).

But all along the way I've always wanted a Golf - just couldn't afford it at the time
Currently driving 2014 Jeep Cherokee - looking at the 2017 Tiguan 162TSI Highline (Habanero Orange) !

I just ordered a R36 Wagon in icelandic grey with sunroof. Build date will be some time in March so delivery won't be until probably May!! Currently own a Blue Graphite Golf GTI - fantastic car.

                              Cheers!
