One of my fave cars of the show. The bonnet was hydraulic and popped up every now and then, lights blinked and the car would beep. The kids loved it.
RAT MULLER. My other fave car, so offensive. I love it. They were selling T's too but they didn't have my size so the guy gave me a sticker instead (champ!).
You had to ask, therefore it's more than you want to spend
We didn't go into it in any detail but I'm sure she was saying mid twenties.
ha, good things are always more than you want to spend! great to finally see one in the flesh though. yellow scirocco in the carpark looked pretty awesome too!
Hi points for me were finding the owner of and seeeing the legendary yellow scirocco.
He is gonna check out this site and come on a cruise with us all soon.
Its a beast, 9a turbo engine with lots of creative uses for the old kjet stuff like the air intake boot and athe water outlket for the BOV!.
Had a good chat with Mark Hammond. Filled in lots of gaps in the history of my 2 door Mk2 and his Corrado.
The corrado with a years rego and engineering papers he wants $25k.
Bit dissapointed that the Rocco got beaten in the VAG Other category by the Passat that had been entered in the wrong class, we definately need a sports coupe category next year. i guess that makes me a whinger.
Typical that I cleaned the rocco all night on Saturday and then we got a prize for the Mk2 that Jay Jay wiped with a damp towel on the morning of the show!
Tommys mk2 AGU was very clean and the install deserved best engineered.
Had a good weekend except for breaking my car at the racing and was great to actually be able to talk to people at the show. 1st year in about 5 that I wasn`t organizing anything.
Big Props to the Melbourne lunatics who made the drive, good to see you all.
See you all at the next one.

Was unlucky, but it means i wont take my car back to this event again! If i choose to work there next year, ill be there for work only...not competing!
Bloody great weekend, thanks to everyone who organised the event, and all the boys who made the treck over aswell.
A great selection of awsome cars, bunch of great people and nice to put some more names to faces
Shout out to Mischa and mrs for the bbq and hospitality, and the melbourne crew for the good laughs as usual!
Loads of pics to come soon

Was good to see some nice cars out there yesterday and talk to some great blokes. Ben's stock MK2 was impressively clean; a thoroughly deserving trophy winner. The white Mk1 GLI was also very nice. Good on you guys.
A little disappointed we didn't take home the best modified Mk2 trophy, but happy with best engineered. That car has taken a ridiculous amount of hard work and commitment from Tom and some help from me. Good to get some recognition for it.
Hopefully there will be more home grown and built cars represented next year to counter the Barloworld showroom entries that seemed to dominate this year.

Well I must say for my first time up I didn't think there would be so many cars! Admittedly I didn't know what to expect. Great turn out but I was hoping to see more MK2's.
I see people still remember Alex's car, meet Jay Jay in the sign in line and his first words were:
"Hey, Jay Jay from the forum... so this is Alex's old car?"
Didn't stay all day, was hellish tired from 13hr shift at work on Saturday and the last minute repairs late Saturday/very early Sunday morning to get the Mk2 up there.
All in all great show!
85' MKII GOLF GTI - GTI 85T - First cruise was 4000km in 2.5 days. It's Evolving!
No Bora's though??? Might have to change that for next year!!
