This was by far my favourite car from the day, it's like we went back in time to 1978 and it just rolled off the assembly line. Car only has 42k on the clock and everything is spot on original and it awesome condition.
The guy seemed a bit embarrassed when we opened up the bonnet to judge it as he hadn't cleaned it. It was the cleanest standard mk1 bay I have ever seen and it's a diesel! my jaw dropped.
Just got home after a 13.5 hr drive back to gympie. Next year I'm def gonna make it to the super sprint. Loving the pics of the cars my camera had a smudge on the lense and the photos are nowhere near as quality as everyone elses

All the VWW boys for enjoying a good chin wag and a laugh. Loved it, especially how everyone caught on and enjoyed the 'O RLY', 'I see what you did there' and 'give me my cardigan back!' jokes. Made it all the more funny! Even more memories

Good show, bit disapointed there were not more mk2's. Waiting for someone to do the mk3 20v too. Eitherway good effort, confused about some mk4 and 5's swear they were stock ??? Good meeting you lot and to the lad who i forgot his name cos have ****e memory good luck with the mk1 AGU conversion.
