Big shout out to Mischa for his ENDLESS hospitality, yet again.
All the VWW boys for enjoying a good chin wag and a laugh. Loved it, especially how everyone caught on and enjoyed the 'O RLY', 'I see what you did there' and 'give me my cardigan back!' jokes. Made it all the more funny! Even more memories
We'll hopefully see the lot of you again at DOVW
Cracker stuff boys! Will be down for DOVW fo sho, this weekend was definately a blast loved every second of it was absolutely awesome!
Thanks lads! Was awesome to have my car there at all actually, I was expecting not to be done. It's still got a bit of work to get the paint finished and what not but I'm very happy with the result so far! I think the sneaky wheel change I did paid off well. I'm gonna keep these on there for a while.
This weekend has been a blast. Been off work since Thursday and haven't stopped to even check a computer! Had lots of brissy guys around all weekend and a stray newcastler down for saturday, lots of laughs and cars and food and drinks etc. So keen for another! In all honesty, I thought nats was meant to be a little bigger and a little better but it was still a bunch of fun and it was good to see/meet everyone.

I've put a few pics up on my FB for those able to see them, I'll post the pics here tomorrow as it'll take about 7 years for them to upload onto Photobucket.

Cheers for the big weekend, good to meet everyone and see all the cars in person, a place to stay from Mickey was great, Superlap was so cool I thought, got a few good pics but don't have them on me. As above, the Nats was very long, lot of organisation involved, I wanted to have a ride in a few of the cars there but we were locked in! Maybe next year something can be worked out... there was a track right next to the place anyway
Very happy to see Chris' car there, and wow immaculate, well done to Tony and Rosemary, with the awards as well.
I had tons of photos, here a couple.
Bora turned up looking great.
Loved Byron's car for being the most unique mkv in my eyes!
Supercharged goodness.
Clean as f***
Loved the new lens.
woossshhgrrrrrr
Obligatory titanium tips pic
Easily my favourite mod, will be researching this for my car, my hands sweat like crazy.
Audi presence was good, loved Alex's A3, headunit was cool.
Steering wheel. Yeah.
Steve n Ray working hard.
Another great mk3, couldn't believe the paint was original.
Twintake drooool.
Checking the paint for swirls no doubt...
Cheers Bryon for sourcing the grenades, also with the camera help!
185fwkw, I wanted a ride in this badly.
UNIT sticker on a vdub :S
Proud parents
Nice stance.
Ray's wicked mk3.
Haha Tim, was great to meet you and the rest of the Queenslanders too. We will have to return the favour one day.
Love the pics, I gotta get myself a fast wide-angle prime lens! I had my 50mm f/1.4 on me for the last few hours and yes, I had to stand a football field away from the subjects! I do love the shallow depth of view though.
Had a great day. Glad I came, some great photos. I kinda though most of the photos would look the same, but some great shots. I was strugging through on a couple of yours sleep. Was worth it though. Def have to make an effort to get out and about with the VW crew.
had a blast as usual, big thanks to Mischa for his hospitality and the rest of the syd crew who made it out! great catching up with everyone and having a blast, havn't laughed so hard in a long time!
Matt, you rocco honks, it's crazy. there's still some more power in it though I reckon. take it to the strip, run some times and tune it I reckon. That way your passengers will actually poo themselves.
That mk 1 GLD was insane. I couldn't believe it. It's immaculate in everyway and super impressive!
Tommymac, you mk 2 was superclean! the engine bay was super tidy and looked amazing! props to doing it all by yourselves. needs smaller tyres though
Seeing that illusive yellow scirocco in the carpark was mad, as well as a nice mk 2 2 door, and a few other neat cars.
Dangerdan, saw your mk 2 G60 at loons, looks super tidy and a great base, can't wait to see it on the road.
was good to meet a few new people, inc the Chris' parents (great chatting to you, and great work with the VR and the legacy you're continuing) and Alex g (finish the mk 1 already!)
Glad i didn't look at too many aircoolers, otherwise i'd be on ebay right now looking for one! very high standard though!
tomtomR32 you R is pretty cool. needs 10-15mm spacers on the back and it would be PERFECT!
mickeys car was pretty grouse. love the WIP look, and those TT's were perfect!
Melissa your mk 1 was incredible, didn't get a chance to say hi, but well deserved 2nd place!
Mike your mk 1 is different and i love it! the new wheels will be wikid though.
I'm Sure I've forgotten a few things, but you get that. what a great weekend! bring on the next show (hopefully i'll have a car there maybe)
One thing I have to add, I was very disappointed with the lack of Polos, jettas, passats, touregs, tiguans, etc. Lots of Golfs is good, but I thought there were tons of members with those other cars, hopefully they will be able to make it to another show.
On one of the cruises last year we must have had at least 10 Polo GTI's, and there was only 1 at the Nats.
