    What a Brilliant Day

OMG what a day, we were so happy to have made it down with HAH44 safe and sound. But taking home three trophies WOW!!!! shed a few tears today, not only did we make one of Chris's dreams come true but 2 with the wins as well.
We want to thank everyone for all your support through the worst time of our lives, today brought us our first tears of joy for a long time, thanks to all that have helped us get here, the great guys we traveled down with.
Thank you VW watercooled, special thanks to Matthew White and and boys at Camden GTI for the awesome trophy, blew us away- love it, lots of extra tears , great day all round, great turn out & venue, thanks to the organizers.
A day we shall never forget, have heaps of great photo's to post when we get home. Sooo glad we came. the trophies shall sit very proudly in Chris 's garage with HAH44 (his Annie)
Chris's VR6pitcrew, RIP our Chris *our No.1 Son*

It's like 12 hrs max man. I gotta drive straight to gympie. That's 14 hrs to there. The day was really fun, mk2 are my favourite. Really happy for chriss' parents, they did such an amazing job.

Yeah it was a good day, two of the Mk1's blew me away kept in such good condition!

Was a bit disappointing not to see more Mk1 and Mk2 action, but hey, keep pushing the numbers!

Some of the R32's (like Jigs) were insane...

How many km's are on it?

Always have a soft spot for Diamond Metalic Silver, as that was the color of my first mk1.

Even better with steel bars & chrome handles!

Good to see everyone again. With the lack of cruises (and my lack of participation lately) it felt like a day of catching up with everyone. There was never really a moment where I was just sitting down or just walking around looking at cars (discounting the judging) as I was constantly talking to people. I took most of my photos during the awards ceremony as it was during then that there was no one walking around to interrupt my shutter clicks hahaha. But really, it's great that the watercooled community is pretty close-knit, but pity it's an annual event that brings everyone together. It was good to meet some new people, but unfortunately I didn't get to say hello to some (like Chris' parents, but I took lots of pics of HAH44 - I'm glad you guys were made welcome by the other folks around, and that you enjoyed yourselves). Alas, it was a decent, full-on day for me. Thanks and well done goes to the organisers, and good effort to those who made it there, especially the interstaters. I gotta go up to Qld and inland towards SA in the coming years.

Haha I don't care mate, not gonna wait for you to quench your thirst! By the way, the BBS RS and their candy red centres were ****in' dope. And I took a lot more pics of your car. I like it, a lot.

I'm still editing them, but here's a few more:

These RatMuller aircoolers were so awesome to photograph.
