SE QLD Drive Day

Giving it some thought I've realised that I've probably done things a little bacwards in my last message.

SO............ If your name is ON THE LIST that I gave (In my last post) and you are coming then then a one word response (or more if you want) will suffice. I'm asking for this (last time I promise) as I have no way of knowing if some of the people who previously stated interest are even still looking at this thread.

I already have confirmation from AHBVW, BoraSport,DohcDave,G60Jay, Wheelsy72 and Eddy.

Anyone else coming?

I'll be confirming approximate numbers with the Meringandan Hotel late next week.

I'll be leaving Chinderah BP servo at 8.30am [just south of Tweed Heads].
Then going via Pacific Hwy, Logan Hwy, Ipswich Hwy, Warrego Hwy onto Brisbane Valley Hwy. If anyone wants to tag along anywhere along the way please let me know where & when. I can't give times for QLD. But may be someone else can as I'm a N.S.Welshman.

Note to any New South Welshmen who are coming......we're and hour behind you as we don't have daylight saving therefore you've got an hour up your sleeve when you cross the border (and loose it when you go home).

Also, I had an awesome weekend. I stopped 3 different GTI's and told them about our drive.....some of them may come.

Yeah I reckon Tweed to Esk will take less than a hour with crossing the Border.

You're up on the north coast aren't you. Perhaps you could come over following Wheelsy72 ? It's pretty easy anyhow. From where you are you'll probably go through Beerwah. As a local now you'll be needing a good map of the south east anyhow so I suggest that you pick one up from your local RACQ. You'll be able to plot the whole path out with it. I'll look at my maps later and try to give you more info. Are you coming over alone in your car?

Drive Day Update

I'm still waiting to hear back on numbers from some of you but I thought that all would find it interesting that at last count (unless people pull out between now and sunday) we've got 10 confirmed cars for the drive and at least 17 people coming along (may end up closer to 20).

The car park at the Meringandan hotel is going to look great!

There are now 13 cars coming (if everyone shows up) and just over 20 people. Yes it's true, theMeringandan Pub will not disappoint.

I've pulled over 3 GTI's in town and they're coming too.

We'll get some great group photo's and I'll post them on the forum within a few days of the drive for all to enjoy.
