So we've got no firm date yet but it seems that a sunday is the preferred option. Makes more sense I think as some might need to work on the saturday. By my count we could potentially have seven (so far) if all can come along. We need to talk a possible November date through otherwise we'll probably need to plan on a janurary drive. The first two weekends of december are out for me and beyond that is (I'm guessing) getting too close to Christmas. Whenever we get this thing off the ground it will be a great day.

Can anyone tell me how I can post an image/photo? I've got an absolutely crazy photo of a Chinese car which has blatantly ripped off elements of the GTI design. It is not what you'd call attractive and I thought it would be amusing to share it with you. I tried to upload the image/s but apparently they're too big. Alternatively I could send it by email.

Sorry guys I have been busy with the new business, I've only been away from the forum for 2 weeks and so much has happened! Well done guys, we should keep the fervour up!

I am currently based in Bangalow until mid-Nov possibly extending to mid Dec. Will be back again in Feb 07. Would LOVE a drive day, so count me in!

PS, by the way there will be a GTI drive day coming up at one of the racetracks probably before the end of the year! That is for the new Golf and Polo GTI owners. I will be attending that one and I will let you know of the details as soon as they are released. Cheers!

OK everyone. Let's try to come to an agreement on a date. The dates that are OK for me are 12th, 19th or 26th of November, 10th or 17th of December. These are all Sundays. Can everyone chime in and we'll find a date that suits the majority. Once that's confirmed we'll finalise the finer details of where we meet and where we're going. Come to think of it, can everyone who wants to come also give their input on where they would like to head. We'll try to find a central starting point for the drive. I'm thinking Brisbane Valley which might be about the mid point between us all?? We could meet in Esk and head towards the Glass House mountains via Sommerset Dam, a lovely bendy drive for those who know it. Or we could head up to the Darling Downs and Toowoomba (and a great meal) via Crows Nest, very scenic and cruisey. Come on everyone, when is it to be?

OK everyone, I haven't had too much feedback so I'll go into proactive mode.

How does Sunday the 27th of November sound as a date for the South East VW Cruise? Those who have expressed their interest so far are:

Can you all come on this date?? If I hear nothing I'll just enjoy the drive on my lonesome. We'd meet at about 10am and conclude about 3pm with a great feed inbetween. No concensus yet on the path we take.
