Amarok front wheel bearings
Hi has anyone replaced the front wheel bearings on their Amarok. My 2014 auto 4 motion is making a hum when cornering right. It could be the road surface or tyres or bearing.
What’s involved in bearing replacement on these. I am ok with working in my vehicles, last wheel bearing I did was...

O2J / O2R (and others?) gearbox shims
Hi - I'm looking for anyone who has gearbox shims they'd sell, or maybe knows a workshop that does that may be able to sell me some.
I'm installing a wavetrac in my Polo's O2R, I already had a bearing kit I bought from someone on here so I thought I'd change the bearings while I had the...Last edited by simon k; 17-08-2020, 09:27 PM.

VWR lowering spring shifting under full strut extension
Hey,
Anyone had any problems with VWR or Eibach springs having some play at full front strut extension? With some light force i can basically move the spring around on the strut when the car is up on jacks or a lift. This is having a knock on effect of them shifting when driving when...

Superpro or powerflex bushings on T5.1 (and sachs boge top mount bearings)
Wondering if anyone has experience of these poly bushings on a t5.1? Good / bad / no difference? Where did you purchase them from?
Story is I just got some new tyres, went to get a wheel alignment and mechanic said wheel alignment would be a waste of time unless I replace bushings and...

TDi front wheel bearings
Hi. I've had a quick check but can't find any bearings to suit.
I've come across hubs with the bearing in it so is this what I have to do?
Can someone supply me the part number and maybe a link to a vid to give me an idea what to do?
Thank you.

My 2015 Polo has a rattling type noise when the 1st setting is enabled. It's not the bearings or the fans. Anyone come across this?

how tough are our front wheel bearings
I'm experimenting with some pretty crazy wheel offsets at the moment. Just wondering what kind of reputation our front wheel bearings (and for that matter the rears too) have for tolerating that kind of thing for a few weeks.

DSG gearbox rebiuld service, QLD Australia.
Just want to introduce myself, I rebuild DSG boxes (only the 02E 6 speed)
I have repaired boxes that have a noisy bearing issue. If you have a car with the 02E 6 speed gearbox with noisy bearings I can change them. Cost is considerably cheaper than the dealer! I order the bearings from UK so...

Rear diff whine?
Friend of mine is looking at buying a MY11 R manual.
Only issue after 2 test drives is a whine coming from the rear when coasting at 60-85km/h. Sounds goes away when throttle is applied.
Thoughts are rear diff, but could be tyres or bearings? Though bearings seems unlikely...
