Hi - I'm looking for anyone who has gearbox shims they'd sell, or maybe knows a workshop that does that may be able to sell me some.
I'm installing a wavetrac in my Polo's O2R, I already had a bearing kit I bought from someone on here so I thought I'd change the bearings while I had the gearbox apart. I didn't realise how painful it would be... definitely wishing I'd left the bearings alone.
I've been to VW and they've gotta order them from Germany at $17 each so if the measurement I've taken is wrong then trial and error will take a year and become obscenely expensive.
The car is my daily driver, luckily my wife is a teacher so isn't using hers much (Vic. lockdown) and I can wing it a bit but not for too long
