So, over the past 3.5 years of MY18 Passat 206TSI ownership the front end has become progressively worse, with a bit of perceived NVH increase and also an occasional knock and feeling of looseness. I mentioned it in this thread:

The original leather DSG shifter cover on my MY18 Passat was looking a bit rubbish, so I replaced it with a Chinese market replacement from Aliexpress a little while back now. Like many of the VW parts on Aliexpress, there's a lot of stuff which isn't aftermarket at all, but are essentially Chinese...

I noticed on Aliexpress that there are a lot of digital dashes for sale for around the $800 mark with 40 to 50 % off. Has anybody bought one from aliexpress and what are your thoughts on it? Are they any good?

I have a 2018 tdi arteon r line which doesn't have the button beside the dsg shifter to select driving modes unlike some of the arteon models from my year.
I was wondering if it was possible to get the button, fit and wire it and code it via vcds? It seems like the button is avaliable...
