I called them on Friday to arrange an appointment to test drive one. I went in on Saturday at Brighton Toyota, he asked if I was going to order it and I said I wasn't sure, I wanted to test drive it first. His response was unless I order it before the test drive I can't test drive it. Of course he didn't say this on the phone, I called the manager at the dealer he said the same thing. Funny thing was I was actually considering it as a viable replacement to my GTI until he said that. I walked straight out.2020 VW Golf RComment

They probably have a LOT of people who just come to take it for a spin who arent actually interested in buying one, just want too see what its like. So I can see both sides of the story, although I don't like the way theyre going about that. I definitely wouldnt be putting a deposit down on a car I can't test drive first if I was in the market for a new car.
