Good to hear it's being used and not just garaged.

My most recent cruise was a bit more virtual

Some say he was the Stig... all we know is that he drives a VW Transporter.

Dont have to worry about cops that way . Don't worry, the car gets much more garage time than it does being driven. Only done 11,000km's in 18 months. I normally only drive it on the weekends.

        42DD resonated dump pipe.

New stainless steel exhaust tips ordered. Magnaflow 2.25inch inlet with 4inch outlet and angle cut to match the shape of the rear diffuser. These should look good as the stock tips are a bit gay and don't match the car at all.

Pics of these tips fitted to an R in the US.

            Thanks for the kind words.

A couple of new additions on the way at the moment:

            - BSH aluminium charge pipe from DubAddiction (goes from intercooler outlet to throttle body)
            - Audi R8 coil packs (stronger spark than stock coils)
            - NGK PFR7B double platinum spark plugs
            - Magnaflow 4" exhaust tips arrived
            - DNA Tuning are giving me a revised stage 3 tune to address a bit of a boost spike and subsequent lean area around 3k RPM. Been doing a heap of VCDS logging lately.
            - New slimline numberplates ordered (silver on black to match the car).
            - And i gave it a thorough clean, de-tar, clay bar and polish a few weeks ago.

What kind of power and torque figures at the wheels on the current tune?

I havent dyno'd the car since i put on the DNA Stage 3 tune and the mods to support the tune (upgraded intercooler/ HPFP / downpipe) but im hoping for around 210-215kw and 400nm. I will get the car dyno'd soon.

But i had the car dyno'd earlier this year (see dyno sheet on the 1st page of this thread) when it had the DNA stage 1 tune, intake and downpipe and the car made 204kw and 354nm at all four wheels. So with the newly added hardware mods and revised tune, im hoping for another 10kw and 40-50nm. But then you have reached the limit of the stock turbo.

Looks tremendous Lucas, really liking the new additions to the car, those stealth and neat modifications hidden under the bonnet look excellent. I would assume the 12,000kms service comprises of just engine oil and filter change?

                  Good job!

Cheers Robbie - yes your right, the "service" as such that i did today was just an oil and oil filter change, adjust the dump pipe, and a thorough check and clean underneath.

The car is only 18months old (and only 12,000km) so it hasn't needed anything more than oil changes and tyre rotations at this point. I think at the 2yr service it gets brake fluid and radiator fluid changed too.

What's causing the 42DD downpipe to rattle? How do you know it's not something else loose under the car? I'm keen to hear what you find...

I can see where its rubbing on a heat shield, so im certain its the dump pipe.

I just re-adjusted it while i had the car jacked up, so ill see how it goes.

Exhaust surgery completed today. Looks much better if i say so myself - much happier with these tips. They fill the holes in the diffuser much better than the stock tips, and the angle cut matches the shape of the diffuser much better - unlike the stock tips.

The guy from the exhaust shop (Premier Exhausts) said that he has actually used these exact same tips on a few R32's before.

Looking good, look the same as the tips that Milltek uses. Be prepared to see lots of black on that nice polished bevelled section

Yeah ill have to see how they go with getting dirty. I used to wipe the stock ones off every few times i drove it to keep them nice and clean, with a good proper clean inside & out every time the car got washed. I was hoping these ones might not show it up as much....but time will tell. Either way, i dont drive it much, so it wont be much of a problem.

Looks great Lucas! A little tip (no pun intended), clean your exhaust tips with a polishing compound regularly and the black crap always comes off super easy

After initially looking at DSG I'm definately keen to stick with manual when I get one..any idea how much power the stock gearbox/clutch can handle? I would only be increasing the power by 50kw tops so hoping the driveline would take it (note I never redline launch or flat change).
