Holy smokes, anyone see that Evo waste the R35 gtr at around 2:41???

Haha, yeah that evo was one of the quickest cars out there. Check out the torque time page and click on the events page. Some people posted a few vids of the higher powered cars racing each other. There were a few 10 sec cars out there, but most of them were mates and only raced each other
But few things are more fun than little fish showing big fish how it's done. Now all you need are some Beetle steelies and a Polo match sticker on the back....

Lol! That would be the icing on the cake wouldn't it.
Yup! Its not exactly a surprise when you see a 500+HP falcon or commodore, but a polo that was keeping up with a few of the bigger boys... That raised a few questions
we need these kind of days at eastern creek good work against those big hitters
Thanks mate!
This weekend I pulled the back bumper off the car and painted a previously damaged part of it and also colour matched the very bottom part of the bumper thats normally just the factory plastic colour. Pretty happy with the results. Side skirts are next!
Long weekend, perfect time for some more painting. As I mentioned, the side skirts were next. I think they turned out great and gives the effect of the car being a little lower. Feels like its visually a little more modern with the extra painted bits now also.
So... A few new additions to the car. First of which is the new head unit, Sony touch screen. The fitment with the fascia kit from the UK is spot on. Next thing is the heat shield that I made up and then gave a splash of paint. It actually works really well. More so when you have been giving the car a squirt and the heat builds up in the engine bay. If you then feel the shield, its warm, then feel the pod and intake pipe and they are a lot cooler to the touch. I also removed what I could from the front end of the car to help flow into the intake area, as you can see by the pic below, the pod has a lot of direct flow now.
Last couple of additions/upgrade, was the steering wheel and gear lever knob which were from a MK5 GTI wrecking I found locally. Both feel awesome IMO, they give a nice, chunky, sturdier feel.
Heres a couple of vids from last weekends "settle the score" session with Street factor at QR again. Another fun morning filling in time until the next HL session which is in a few weeks time.
Anyways, enough waffling on. Heres the links and pics, Enjoy!
Thanks Fellas! Will have some more vids coming up. Next weekend I'll be back at QR with a few mates then 2 weeks later is HL at lakeside. Then hopefully some time attack days once I get a bit more feel for coilovers
