    I would have thought easily 160-170 with a stage 3 and k04.
Interesting. I didn't realise the phase 2 cars were making those kind of power figures.

Its strange, on paper phase 2 to 3 don't seem like they have THAT big of a power difference, but when you get behind the wheel of a phase 3, you really notice a big difference in mid and top end power. I've owned a phase 1, 2 and 3 polo now so know how they all feel. Cars that I used to get smoked by when phase 2, I now pull away from in a straight line.

Perhaps I should get it on a dyno for curiousity sake

    • I'd assume I'm making similar power levels with my stage 2. I definitely see the difference between our cars at Lakeside when the stage 3's pull away on the straight. Plenty more top end than mine which runs out of puff at 5,500rpm. The boost to redline makes a big difference.

Your onto it mate. I think people need to drive a stage 2 then 3 to appreciate the difference. I Also changed my intake setup last week. There's definitely a marginal gain there, will do logs coming up to compare true figures.

Another update, we have another VW machine underway this week. Hopefully picking up tomorrow, I'll keep you all wondering which one it is until we have it in our possession.

        • This weeks update, we picked up the new ride. A 2008 GTI Golf Pirelli Edition in the even more rare colour. Really awesome car to drive, heaps of go even stock and loads of torque especially down low. Totally different car to the polo in the way it drives.

Also got a some goodies for my birthday this week, one of which was the lower honey comb grills, and will be finally updating the stock head unit for a sony touch screen once I go and pick one out. Also had some stickers made up for the polo.

Would very much like to see what power you put down?
Im sure you've listed it but what engine upgrades have you done?

The first page of this thread has the full list of mods to the car matey.

Power wise, we estimate around the 260hp at the crank. Real figure could be more or less, but it would be around there I would think. Anymore then that would be nice for bragging rights.

A few of those cars, a stage 2 polo would still beat, just wouldn't pull away as much as phase 3
